Thanks Eriskang, what you wrote is very encouraging. Current I am very worried about the discipline issue in my boy's class. Teachers can't control the boys and son is complaining everyday that the class is noisy and he can't hear and concentrate during lessons. Hopefully the situation will improve.

DS class also very rowdy and noisy. Teachers always made them stay back as punishment. Don't think that's working actually. DS said usually it started with one boy in class said something, then another boy will shout \"shut up lah\" then other boys started shouting other insults too! And the whole class get out of control and it happens everyday. Quite worrying to hear.

I know I am not supposed to compare but can't help wondering if other all boys school like CHS or SJI boys behave the same way in class.

generally gender specific schools are nosier than co-ed schools. However, research has shown that students tend to perform better in these schools.

Bad experience with Raymond Math n Science Studio. Raymond is so rude and arrogant. Treat parents and students with no respect. Poor management too.

      To all the new mummies...

FYI... There will be a Fun Food Fest event on this Friday between 9.30am-11am.

DS can buy food such as subway sandwiches, pizza, bubble tea etc.

I will be doing my 1st PV for this event 🙂

Is it? Didn't hear boy mention anything abt it. Will ask him tomorrow. Prepare to give him more money to make purchases.

Son did the IT test few days ago but system did not capture it n reflected as ‘have not submitted’. Yesterday he had to redo again with those who have failed. Hopefully this time he managed to submit and pass.

      Internal Strife:

Hi everyone. I am an Ex-Marist and I graduated from Maris Stella in 2014. I have just received back my O level result. Regarding the question about how we did for the GCE 2014 O Level Examination, generally, I feel that every Marist has done well for this examination. Personally, I got 7A1s for my O level.

On a side note, would any parent (whose child is in Sec 4 this year) like to take some of the prelim papers that I have. These papers aren't touched at all and I feel that it would be best if I just gave them to my juniors. I have prelim papers for Addtional Mathematics and Mathematics.

Congratulations on your O levels results. That's very impressive! So which JC or poly are you moving on to?

Would love to take over your prelims paper but DS only in sec 1 this year. Should let that Sec 4 boys have them.

Congrats! Wow..7A1s! Don't know how you did it. You must be super intelligent. Continue to excel in your learning journey and all the best.
Hi

I'm a bit concern as ds has been carrying lots of books recently. His bag is very heavy - should be at least 10kgs. He told me the locker is very small and it is meant for MacBook and wallet only.

Does anyone ds carry lots of books too?

Agree. DS also says that his bag is heavy too. Cannot imagine when they add another Macbook in.

Agree that it's super heavy. Ds have to travel by train & with the bulky bag its so clumpsy. Today, he brought his football + instrument for CCA so even heavier...
Boy puts some books in locker n some under his table so his bag is not heavy.
