    • RE: How to improve Chinese Composition?

      Hi,

I just recently engaged in creative Chinese writing with a Singapore Taiwanese tutor. My child finds it quite fun after a couple of months and really like doing it. Does Anyone has any similar experiences to share too? Thank you in advance

      Hi parents,

My daughter studies at LianHua Primary which sets examinations to according to the new direction of MOE, process skills. Initially, she was struggling with only 30 marks and extremely demoralized. But I managed to find a tutor from Singapore Motherhood forum and gave it a try. She improved 40 marks within 4 months, unbelievable, the results is really satisfying. She received a certificate from school with the most amount of improvement. Cheers parents, secondary school are are process skills examinations.

    • RE: Private Life coaches for children?

      Hi

Parenting is a laborious journey and it’s definitely a roller coaster ride. Kids have their life progress too, but nobody can replace the anxious mom and ask her not to do anything yeah? In my opinion, you can do it yourself, learn and try to improve with your husband, do it with relatives or friends or whichever way you find it comfortable yes? Everyone has their own life, nobody should be so fixed in their living yes and it is true when you said everyone’s environment is not the same. I guess it’s more like asking for help?

When I first heard of, I didn’t really understood too. But then again, I try to understand what it is about. Well, there’s advantages in everything… I just like the way they teach good habits, positive attitude and so on and so forth…

Anyway, good luck with all your children!

    • RE: Club 3 or more Kids

      Hi

I didn’t realize so many people have so many children as I do too. I have 4 so I am very careful about budget, food and shelter most important! The rest will come later… They go to school, never had tuition but results are dropping and managing 4 is a huge task for a super multi-tasker, I hope I can manage them better. Sigh, it’s school, school, school, results, results, so I had no choice, I thought perhaps later in the years but now p3 have to for tuition already! But luckily, I found a good one who can HELP otherwise waste money trying!!!

Still, we want to plan for travelling, poor kids, seldom travel always stuck in the 4 corners! Any place to recommend or do for a family trip? Never mind, never give up! They are our happiness! Keep smiling everyone!

    • RE: Club 2004 Kids

      Hi,

I used to think that tuition is not necessary for children at a young age. I have this traditional thinking that young kids should enjoy their childhood and believe every child should have a deserving childhood. I am always contended with my son’s average results, obtaining a PASS is sufficient. But every time when I pick my son up, there will be "mummies gossips" going on, they suggested that living in a competitive edge, I shouldn’t give my children too leeway, they reminded about the challenging curriculum and if my son stayed where he is, he will lose out. I reflected and seriously agreed, for a better future of his and mine, not wanting him to rely on me even when he is an adult.

In the "mummy gossips", I was recommended with a tutor so why not give it a shot?
I didn’t hope for much because my the usual stories I heard with tutor that prove much results, tremendously, however, surprisingly, women’s gossips are powerful and my son from the usual 60 marks soared to 84 marks.
