I have encountered same problems , suddenly when I see my maid eating from my kids bowl or scold them
suddenly the d link says cant connect and keeps asking username and password also , until I guve up and directly call her to stop her.

Hi , Anyone here whose children attend afternoon session in St. Hilda ? We could not get morning slot for our child for N1 for next year . Is afternoon session good as we wonder children as small as 3 year old can easily become sleepy during 12 pm to 3pm , Any comments is much appreciated. Can we book for morning session for 2017 , N2 now itself ?

Agents behave so badly, maids behav so badly because they know they know they have nothing to loose..........MOM come after us for EVERYTHING!


Food and lodging are taken care of, by us paying if the maids are sent back to agency.

Otherwise, they runaway.....food and lodging at Embassy or HOME or with boyfriend. Singapore is such a safe place to roam about anytime of the day or night.

Back home, they only have family. Family can only feed you for so long, you have to start paying for your own.

Even if they loose their job in Singapore, they at least have food to eat everyday while they are making new friends at other peeple's expense, embassy, HOME etc or us the employers. It would still have been an adventure and some enjoyment of food (while at employer's), making new friends, have boyfriend and sex (without whole kampong knowing).

You are absolutely right, this is what even we think that even though no job for them, housing , food , clothes i.e the basic necessities of life are met with . so who cares , this is only type of job where they can tell the boss to find another job for them at the boss's cost wow! And not to forget all that attitude and showing black face as if we owe them money.
And for many of them no strings attached, like my maid said she have a six year old daughter and when I ask her when she came back from her off day if she manage to speak to her kid she say ,\"I forgot to call my daughter as I was partying \" as she don't have hand phone we even offer our calling card so she can talk to her for a short while she said she don't want. So forget about what they say about sending money to family , like what you say they are here to enjoy and make friends at our cost :mad: and we only have this forum to vent out frustration .

At least if MOM not penalize them for just running away without informing or ending contract in few weeks don't ask for their lodging fee from employer fo no reason , so heart pain to pay for such a maid to have fun.

U should report the agent to MOM as they are supposed to let potential employer know all important info especially if she has a police record. Based on this, if they don't give u a refund, u can report to CASE. And I will if I were you.

i would hv done the same and reported to MOM. I wouldnt even pay for lower fees on accommodation cos I was conned and I will tell MOM not to add her to my quota. Yes I would go to case if they wont return the money. Problem is Hsparkle cant go without a maid and any help for her is better then no help at all, haha this is how clever the agent is ... target a desperate employer!

Hsparkle... this maid can always be thrown to H.O.M.E if agent cant find new employer. Suggest that to ur agent. Isnt HOME suppose to provide shelter for workers with pending police cases or runaway maids? good place for her to go since agent cant find another victim to transfer the maid to.
Yes its very expensieve to hire a maid and I feel the pinch too. Why dont u tell agent U dnt want their replacement and get back ur money. let them know u dnt want to deal wth them cos of their dishonesty. Oh, u may then hear them tell u that the new maid is on her way.
I guess u rather wait but I still think u can call them and tell them that extra fees are not justifiable and they should not even charge u a cent and make u pay for their dishonesty. Anyway yr maid is full of wayang and rather \"lee Hai\".... I think the police would eventually close the case due to insufficient evidence and a lot of bull in her report. Hah, she must hv hurt the dog so she can also hurt ur kids.

The situation we are in makes us desperate even though we tried without any help for a long time , after quit the job to take care of kids it is a total burden on just one person of the family . And meeting the demands in Singapore or I guess any other country is not easy. Being new in this fdw field were not aware about HOME , we will let the agent know about it, but seems agent is greedy one as even though the maid say or we say don't want the maid to go back her country and keep insisting that if we send maid back to her country we cannot get back the refund of loan, after much argument they say ok for a free replacement , but we feel that they might repeat the same scheme of extracting more money from employer by purposely giving us this kind of maid . So like what you say must end the contract with this EA, the maid keep telling us that she want to go embassy as she know the agent will not send her back and when we ask her why on earth is she here if she always want to go back, she say she is stress with the case, hmmm think she is the culprit and want to run away before the verdict is even out.

Yes we decide to fight back if they don't return our money ,and go to cASE if required, one family I know said the agent charged them 100$ just to send maid to airport and the maid had already ran away from employer house so not their fault right but when they told agent they will complain to CASE the agent said do what you can we are not even bothered.

Lucky to have agent who do not promote maids to transfer easily ,but most people from whom we heard shared same problem as nowadays it's a business for agent ,the more they transfer the more money they earn , am not sure about the MOM directory but as long as they transfer one fresh maid three times they earn good already both from the employer and maid. But don't understand why these maids even though they don't earn for months still keep changing employers. Looks like u hv to play along with this maid till ur new maid arrive. Yup, hopefully u dnt get agent telling u stories like.. maid have immigration issues or decided not to come etc... (delaying tactics} think u shld start asking back for yr loan if maid dont arrive by the time given by agent.

The maid said the previous employer just a single lady , she bad mouth her employer that she was very arrogant and easily get angry on her, according to her she do something wrong with the dog while she bathe the dog, never told us what, but she say employer then scream and hit her on hand, she somemore said she was very friendly with neighbors and it was they who call cops when they heard the employer scolding her. How can anyone get friendly with neighbors in just 3days as she quit in just 3 to 4 days only??
We think now it's good that this kind of person is not going to stay in our house but sad for losing money also , so scared to bring another stranger to our home

U hv something against the agent now, looks like they cant wait to get rid of her. I wouldnt employ a maid if she has a case against the employer as I may be her next victim. Dont keep her till the last day cos ur doing the agent and her a favour. Think u better start looking for a replacemet and return this troblesome maid after yr trip. Tell yr agent in ur own way that u can lodge a complain cos they were not upfront about her background and thats a serious
Wah! and still dare to charge for next maid. The agent probably had many rejections when they mentioned police case to other prospective employers and decided not to tell u, tell ur maid her chances for a transfer is very slim due to her report, who knows, she may cook up another story about you to the cops. U may hv to give her time off etc.. if cops call on her for further investigation and u probably got to bring her to the station or court if the ist employer engage a lawyer. Her work will be affected too. So my advice is get another maid and tell ur agent they are legally wrong not to highlight the most important thing about her case and they should and must replace this maid at no extra charge cos u would not hv taken this maid if u knew she had a case pending. Now I know why ur maid is so arrogant, she thinks she has the upperhand after making a police report.[/quote]Thanks for taking time to advice, we talk to agent and they ready to discount fee for the current maid lodging but they can tell me also that this maid won't be able to find work easily so for 21 days she have to stay at agent place as that is consider the notice period for her . As for the new transfer maid they never show us any bio data even if they have since don't want to refund loan to us . So again choose another maid to be brought to singapore and hope it's not another bait by the agent.
If we want to get transfer maid we must wait and wait until like two months and finally if they finish testing your patience they will show us someone with a bad record .
If not for the kids we will never take maids.
Government say have more kids but how to manage with 3 or more kids is only our responsibility as when we tried for childcare those which were affordable had long waiting lists and others can burn a hole in your pocket, so after struggling alone for a while decide to take maid but then maids are here not to work , nobody is ready to work with a household having babies or toddlers, when interview them over phone everything is a Yes from them ,once reach here within a week start to show colors.

based on what we gathered from you all an our decision we made is to transfer her, since the agent told us we cannot send her back as the loan is unpaid. Although we try to argue that as per MOM rules we can get the refund of the loan. The agent comes up with a new story that this maid is having a police case with previous employer and as per legal rules she cannot leave Singapore. :stupid: So unfortunately this trouble will be passed on to another kind soul who will fork out money for her just to lose it ? Oh my God I really wish MOM hear our cries and pain and consider the employer also a human being and give us some rights too!
When asked the agent to show us another transfer maid ,they say no one is

Available yet and keep forcing us to bring a fresh maid with new loan. This cycle seems like never ending. And it was the damn agent who asked us to ask the maid whether she want to follow us for holiday , is there any such rule? We thought no harm lah since she is a very nice person but this nice person turned into our nightmare. Just posting so that people also know our experience and not fall into agent trap. :stompfeet just before half an hour our maid again threaten us saying if we want to transfer her she don't want to wait and work until we go on holiday after one week but we must send her back tomorrow itself and pay for her lodging fees, can u imagine , don't even want to give us any notice or time to find another person , and when we work in office can just walk off like that?
