Hi all. I decided not to to proceed given the long distance. Thanks for all your advise.
It all depends on the kids too… If they r keen to move on I would respect their decision too.

Thank you Councillor for your prompt response

My dd's CL teacher up til end of 3rd term was still using english with them even to give instructions. ..that never happen in my ds's school. ..I can see the huge difference in both their languange strength. .
I had emailed my form teacher for the exact dates for the test, she refered me to the calender which only tells mewin week form...quite frustrating. ..that's why I'm thinking to myself if it's in my IJ or a common practice. .
is your dd in P1 too or other level?
if you wish to plan CA/SA exam time table for your daughter, do refer to the school's website.
my daughter is in p4.
hi Janet. any idea if the top class has more students than in the normal classes? -

hi all
Need some advice from mummies with gals at IJ TP. How do you rate the academic results for the primary level in IJ TP? My gal is in the top school in Yishun and I am mulling if I should transfer her to IJ TP. Of cos, taking the distance into considerations. She was previously from IJ OLQP in P1 (transferred to Yishun school bcos we moved to Yishun). -

my daughter is enjoying parallel teaching by another teacher for her Science. on the whole, the teachers do reply emails fast. sometimes, I write a note to her teacher(s) in the school journal. on the whole, the IJ teachers are warm and dedicated. the standard of English is high, which is expected for a mission school.
thanks all for the feedback. Appreciate your advice :xedfingers: -
RE: CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh)
thanks bebe.
daughter had a wonderful form teacher when she was in p1/2.
as for parents’ briefings, we make it a point to attend.
thanks Janet and bebe. understand thru the sch portal for P5 there is a subject combination which teacher would propose and gal can get to choose their preference. is this a norm for other primary schools? anyone can enlighten me?
streaming - which level they will start to stream? from p3?
are the teachers good for most levels? my gal school have teachers who are so so only…any views from mummies about IJ TP would be appreciated.
cheers -

hi all
any idea if P2 maths subject for IJ Toa Payoh is tough? Are they using visible thinking Maths? My gal currently in another school. Need to check as I would like to place her on waitlist at IJ TP… any feedback/advise is appreciated.
Daughter in p4 is using Discover Math. On top of the text book, the girls are also using worksheets to supplement.
Hi Janet, thanks for the info. Are their maths tough and are they given worksheets on heuristics? My gal is in p2 and her school maths are quite tough?.. Just want to be sure about it. Thanks -

Am considering if I could transfer my dd from CHIJ OLQP to MM for P2 next year. Any mummies from P2? Are your gals given homeworks etc? As I will be moving, my new place will be nearer to MM…
