am a student in temasek sec!

Would like to find out more about Temasek Secondary.

How's the school culture & discipline, support and teachers in general? How is the overall atmosphere like? How's the behaviour of the students there?

school culture is great:) there’s a special bond between every temasekian u can feel when h step into the school, makes me look forward to school everyday! behaviours good as well, always willing to help each other no matter age difference or anyt

Do teachers provide kids with extra consultations as in are students encouraged to seek consultations?

we r encouraged to seek consultations. consultations will be arranged upon request from students, school may also select weaker students in certain subjects for remedials to prepare them well for exams

Are the teachers generally good at teaching the respective subjects?
yes! they make lessons engaging which makes info easier to absorb

How's the o level results?
100% qualify for poly, 91% ish quality for jc

Is the school doing well in preparing the kids for O levels etc?
yes! every teacher is dedicated to doing their best to help every child score, extra lessons are provided as well

What about talent development programs/opportunities and/or programs aside standard curriculum in the school? Are they generally only catered for top scorers?
we have a few talent development programmes

1) lead@tms
- we have 5 leadership groups catered to students from all 3 streams, being in one of the groups contribute to ur -2 points during national exams too, for those not in any of the groups, they can take up leadership roles as VIA leaders (contribute to -2 points as well)/ cca leaders/ class comm (decor ic etc)
2) temasek ignis programme
- talent development programme to stretch higher ability students in el, math, sci, humans, leadership, must be student leader (1 of 5 leadership groups) to join

Since no physical open houses, also unable to pay the school a visit, how is the school compound and facilities? Are they run down etc?
school’s quite clean in general, atmosphere’s really good too

Is there anything in particular to take note of for this school?
we offer economics and computing as o level subs! econs is only offered in 4 sec sch in sg, we also hv special ccas like shooting, bowling, canoeing etc
