    • RE: All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Hi, I always read forums n conversations abt where to put their kids in for Pri Sch n should we do PV or should we join the grassroots. Singapore’s education systems is very good, salute to the gov. But the grading n PV thing is driving the parents mad! It used to be so easy tat we put our little ones jus at the pri sch beside our house cause we have privi n safety distance. Now, anyone from any locations as far as Jurong to Aljunied would like to put their kids there due to the grading which made it difficult for the locals to put their kids in their own neighbourhood javascript:emoticon(‘:x’). But have parents thought abt whether the kids can cope? Yes who doesnt wan their kids to be No.1 taught by the best teachers in the schools.

Maybe i shud put it this way, who made the grades in the school to make them ELITE. parents shud be able to do the maths themselves. If we do not provide a suitable ground for our child to grow, the future 6 years in that pri sch will be a nightmare for the kids, as well as the parents. I do hope that parents be fair to our future leaders, guide them in a way that they feel comfortable but not pressurized as in this present time, there is already enough peers pressure…
last but not least, good luck to all the kids who r promoting to pri 1 soon…
      :x
