If u send yr child to 汪老师, certainly not all kids who succeed started out being good in the language.

It is impt for parents to ustand that attending 汪老师, the child will need to revise what has been taught. My child was hovering slightly below 50 when peer’s mum introduce me to 汪老师 with advise to revise the passages taught. In fact, we use P5 & P6 materials to revise for 口试 & 作文 by June of PSLE year. I batch similar topics for my child to refresh the phrases so it can be flexibility applied even if topic is different but can use the theme. 汪老师 materials really hv very good & relevant phrases learnt according to MOE syllabus.

In addition, every lesson has its 听写/默写 tests. Lessons are on weekends, so we start practices upon return bcoz in the school week, with hmwk there might not be time. We revise in small bites with 3 words and then next 3. By next 听写/默写 practice, we’ll revisit the first 3 words. By following weekend lesson, my child is ready & very often get perfect score or hovering ard 90s. This gives the child confidence in handling CL.

Ano peer’s mum panic after P6 CA1 failed CL & asked for recommendations. I was a little anxious for her child as I feel it’s too much to cramp for PSLE in Sept. But this parent pep talk to prepare her child to work hard, took leave & coach him personally fr March till PSLE. He scored an A whilst mine had A*. So, it’s not impossible but u need to give yr child absolute support & guide.

Many parents gripe & thinks paying for tuition means everything shld be covered for good grades if tuition Centre is reputatble. It’s a fallacy and to think we don’t hv to put in extra effort. We need to model that need to put in effort & hard work produces fruits of Labour. Not gain fr no sweat & tears (hopefully it turns into tears of joy).

May I know how do you revise Wang's materials with your child? Do you tell your child to read all the passages once? What else besides reading the passages and learning the ting xie/mo xie for next week?
