Yeah. One that I had lied that her Son was kidnaped. We are much younger and believed her and let her go back. Thereafter, we heard a smiliar tale from a friend’s maid. **roll eyes**

My current maid also fat and lazy and lies so often....when she doesn't do something also will insist that she does until really you confront her with hard evidence like CCTV etc then no choice then will fess up....
Brought her on a holiday when we got back she also holiday mode- started being very lazy using up things in the home and not cleaning up after....they always try to get away with whatever they can and hope that you don't notice....

Ya…a lot of them always think they know best. Can’t have the best of both worlds. Can only close 2 eyes to many things that they do and manage our expectations.

It’s a deterrent and won’t totally stop them. For this helper of mine, I must say she had the audacity to go ahead with her acts of mischief. She probably chose to take the risk. I simply couldn’t understand where the guts came from.

Hi, I install cctv at common areas, not in the rooms. To me, it’s a must-have and it’s money well spent. They won’t have anything to fear if they are upright. It also serves as a deterrent to mischief.

I think maid woes are inevitable. Mine just returned to Myanmar. She’s capable but the next employer will have to be prepared for manipulation, lies (a lot), damages (a lot a lot) to household stuff and revenge (when she gets corrected or when she doesn’t get her way). The most ridiculous was she pried open my Iphone and denied (unfortunately, she was caught on cctv).


While she was efficient throughout her term with us, there was quite a fair bit of mind games. It was hellish during the period when she insisted on going back.
