Hi,
My child is in N2 in another school and I was thinking of transferring her to Catholic Kindergarten. I have heard many good things about this kindy but I also read a few recent comments about the school that are less than positive.
Thus, I was wondering if anyone can share your feedback about the school? My concern is high turnover of Teachers in my child’s current school. Is this a problem that Catholic Kindy has as well? Also, how do Teachers and principal act on feedback from parents?
Thanks in advance. =]

RE: Club Breastfeeding Mums
Hi,
does anyone have any recommendations as to where to buy electric breast pumps at less expensive prices? I previously purchased one online but I’ve not forgotten the name of the online shop.
Thanks! -
RE: ISADD and Nurture Pods
Hi WaWa
I decided to continue on with ISADD for a while more. After I complained, they sort of stepped things up. So will just go on for some time more and see how things go from there.
In my case, the therapists (both the case manager and the more junior one) worked well with my son. I don't remember them shouting at him or banging table. Just that based on what I see, ISADD in general is just not very focused in helping my son. Whatever steps they take is initiated by me. Like even now, I told them I am thinking of stopping, then they suggest to do more things. But changing is a hassle and since my son likes his therapists, I will just let things be for a while.
Does your son go for any OT and/or ST? I hear that it helps. My son goes for OT once a week to help him with sensory issues. I guess the school would also recommend therapies that will be helpful for him? How old is he? My boy is 3.5.
Being a parent of children who are different sure isn't easy huh? All we want for them is to be able to take care of themselves and lead a happy life when they are grown up. Simple wishes.
You take care okay? -
RE: Suggestions for haircut
We also cut my boy’s hair ourselves. At 3 years old, any "odd" hairstyle on him just looks "cute". We sit him in a high chair with an iPad. And cut away.
We still haven’t solved the problem of how to keep him from crying in the clinic or hospital tho. We get a lot of attention when we are there haha. -
RE: ISADD and Nurture Pods
Just to clarify, in my case, my case manager and therapist were always on time, and they always hit the 2 hours. So my issues were in other areas lah… to be fair to them.

RE: ISADD and Nurture Pods
Hi WaWa,
Thank you for your honest feedback!
I did end up engaging ISADD.
Unfortunately, in the past 6 to 8 months of working with them, I have been disappointed. Firstly, I had joined mainly because I was told that they would put my son into an organised playdate. The first 3 months, I kept asking about it. But no action was taken. Eventually I gave up.
I had 2 therapists that actually worked pretty well with my son, he actually looked forward to seeing them. To be honest I cannot tell how much of an influence they had. Another disappointment was that I felt that the case manager was not very interested in really helping my boy. It felt like a job to her. She is a nice girl actually, just not very dedicated to my boy’s case.
Another thing I am not comfortable with is that they don’t update me on what’s going on or what the goals are for my son. I am usually the one initiating things- eg school observations, playdates.
At the end of the day, I get the feeling that ISADD was not really that interested in giving my son the best, cos he didn’t seem to really have very serious issues. It just seemed like he was a source of extra income. I guess it’s to be expected since their charges are not as high as some of the other ABA providers, and it’s a business after all. Kids with special needs are so lucrative right? It’s sad.
I have been thinking of quitting ISADD this past week, partly also cos one on one ABA does not really meet my son’s main needs- which is to work on socialisation and play skills. And your reply at this point in time, really just helps to confirm what has been on my mind the past week.
I really have nothing against ISADD. I feel a bit bad to say bad things about them here. Maybe it was also my bad luck in terms of timing, etc. And also possibly I have the wrong expectations. If any other parent is thinking of ISADD or any other ABA service provider, it’s always best to just make sure you are clear to them as to what you want them to provide to you, and tell them that if they don’t deliver on the specifics, they’re out. -
RE: All About Speech Therapy
I am looking for a speech therapy centre that provides group therapy sessions, as my son has a need to work on social skills. So far I have called to eqnuire at Kidz POTC and Connect and Communicate and Leapfrogs and Olive Tree.
Does anyone have any views to share on any of them? Or any other good centres to recommend (that does group therapy)? -

Hi,
Does anyone have kids who are in the Picadilly Circus branch of Chatsworth Kindergarten? I would love to have some feedback about the place, particularly how the teachers treat the students. Thanks! -
RE: *** READ ME FIRST !!! - P1 Registration FAQ ***
But what happens if someone DOES move say 1.5 years after the kid enters the school? Means my poor child is going to be shipped out to another school?
Just wondering… -
