Edusave Merit Bursary (EMB)
If your child is studying in either a primary or secondary school, Junior College/ Centralised Institute or Institute of Technical Education, and is not a recipient of any Edusave Scholarship stated above, he will receive an application form for the Edusave Merit Bursary if he is within the top 25% of each level and stream in his school.
If the gross monthly household income is not exceeding $5,000 or per capita income is not exceeding $1,250 (computed based on the gross monthly household income divided by the number of household members), you can submit the application form to the community centre near your home.
The value of this award for each level is as follows:
$200 for Primary 1 to 3
$250 for Primary 4 to 6
$350 for Secondary 1 to 5
$400 for Junior Pre-U 1 to 3
$500 for Institute of Technical Education (ITE)Back to Top

RE: Jurong Primary
24hr_mum:
Good Morning 24hr_mum,In Jurong Primary, they stream their students in Primary 2. The top 3 class E, D & A will be attending shape programme (stretching high ability pupils excel).
Streaming will be on English & Math for P1 & P2, English, Math & Science for P3 and above. According to the principal 2nd language will not take in consideration for streaming.
Do you know if the practice of Jurong Primary streaming their students in Primary 2 is still active? Which are the top classes? Do they have HCL for P2?
:thankyou:
Thanks in advance. And do keep in touch. -

RE: Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools
My boy is 6 this year. I am very confused and lost as in which Primary School to register him for.
I’m a old gal of Jurong Primary School, but Shuqun Primary School is nearer to where I live. And I also heard that Jurong Primary went through a merge with another Primary School. Does it mean that the School is not so good? Not much students, that’s why a merge is required?
But I have checked that Shuqun needs balloting for less than 1 km for year 2010. What if I did not secure a spot during the balloting?
Can anyone enlighten me on this? Your help is greatly appreciated.
