    • RE: All About Choosing and Buying Pianos

I have been following this thread for several months.

My 8 and 5 year old started learning piano this year, and I also joined in the fun. As I will be sitting for my first (G2) exam next year, I figured it will be very worthwhile for all 3 of us.

Today I finally followed our piano teacher to Piano Gallery and paid for a 43 year old U1. So now we will wait patiently and excitedly for the piano to be delivered to us.

On a side note, I was told both of my kids have perfect pitch what does that entails?? Is there a need to send them for additional training to perfect their perfect pitch? Or should I just leave it??

    • RE: how young did ur child start?

my girl goes to Startots. I think it is not bad too. They are half montessori and focus on the 8 Multiple Intelligiences. She even brings back a set of flash cards that Startots has created for the pupils so we can reinforce their learning at home. Fees are reasonable i think, though some people feel that they are abit costly.

    • RE: Calvary Pandan Kindergarten

I just went to both kindy this morning, together with my gal (born Jan 2009). She seems to like both. When I ask her, Calvary or Galilee, she pointed somewhere and said Galilee… then when i reached home, i asked her, Calvary or Galilee, she said, I don’t know. LOL

Now I am really stuck, I like both Kindergartens, but cannot decide between the two…

Galilee: got music room and the play area is on green grass. Fees: $510 per term. We caught the kids having their meals at the eating area, it looks cool… and my gal keep wanting to go into the classrooms and join them.

Calvary: they didn’t show me any music room, and the play area is on those kinda carpet grass (not sure if the grass patch is real or fake.). Fees: $540 per term. Admin Staff and P are younger than those in Galilee…

      Any advice?

    • RE: Jurong Calvary Kindergarten

Can I ask a dumb question? Is Jurong Calvary Kindergarten the same as Calvary Church Kindergarten?

    • RE: Maris Stella Kindergarten

i just came back from the kindergarten. Yes, the premises is big, but its very very run down. The administrator told me that they are planning to renovate the school.

U only need to print out the registration form, bring along the documents and photocopies stated in the general information.

They do not seem to have a good focus. I somehow feel that something is lacking. the lady keep telling me they follow MOE guideline. So at N2, the pupils then start to learn letters of the alphabets and numbers. They are not able to tell me what method they use to teach the children.

Anyhow, i still registered my gal for the afternoon class in 2013, as the morning classes are full…
