Hi I have a 3.5 year old boy registered in PCF N2 for 2013. I just realised that mother tongue will not be introduced for N2 so I’m deciding to withdraw him. I’m looking at CCC or Preschool. My mother is helping me to look after my child with the help of a maid now. I have friends who encourage me to send my child to CCC so that he can learn to be independent. My concern is his health, while in 2 hrs playgroup, I need to bring him to doctor every 2 weeks as he has sensitive lungs and skin. He’s always on inhaler when his cough come back. Quite often, he can be absence from class for 10 days.


Just need advice should I put him in CCC or 3 hrs preschool?

I called SACPS earlier at 2pm to ask about the registration numbers. Vacancy is 92. But out of the 74 registered, 16 are SC so of likelihood, SC applicants are in. However now, there are 95 registered out of the 92 places. Even if I've terribly misheard the admin, and that 16 is actually 60 SC, what's the chances of my child getting in without balloting? We're within 1km. Should be likely, right? Dont want to be overjoyed too soon. Anyone has any updates? Many thanks!

I called up 10 mins before closing, the admin said SC are all in, balloting for PR only. Hope there wasn't any more new registrant after that. This years more vacancies are taken up at less popular schools as compared to the past history.

I also did the same as you. The school staff advise me to have my hubby to stationed at the school that you registered earlier and yourself at the school under p2c. So you weigh your chance, if you think the chance good under p2c, call your hubby to withdraw then afterwhich u can register. Withdrawing no need show original ics, but registering you need originals. You can do this on 1st August, but make sure got sufficient time.


For myself, I still thinking which school to choose?

If I register my child online at my preferred school, on the last day 1 Aug 2012 if I know the number within 1 km exceed the number of available seats for p2C, how do I withdraw and register at my next preferred choice if it can only be done onsite?

My back up is st. anthony connossian pri school but that’s further away, Temasek is still the next nearest to my place. The nearest is bedok green but I never consider it as I’ve called in to ask about their psle result twice but nobody come back to me. The next preferred is YuNeng but compared to Temasek, it’s further away so St. Anthony is my backup. I think no need ballot for 2C… I’m so stressed!

I can only register under 2C (above 1km) hopefully I’m lucky so that I don’t have to go through it again 3 years later.

If my child couldn’t register to Temasek pri school, can I still put her in waiting list? Hopefully before Pri 1 the school can call me up to tell me there is available vacancy or transfer at Pri 2?

Thank you parents, I have a clearer picture now. My daughter will fall under p2C, hope I have more luck and get registered into Temasek primary school else will be St Anthony Connossian. I’m staying just across the road from Bedok green.
