qms:QMS, maybe your expectation is too high. As you know, my expectations are not that high, so I nearly fainted when he said the paper is difficult, can't imagine the result. :slapshead:monmon31:U mean your son said paper was easy? Steady!! :salute:
I haven't heard him comment any paper was difficult since the beginning of the year. However, never once did I see him score well.
So much for saying the paper was easy. :stompfeet:

RE: Radin Mas Primary
My son said the maths paper was quite difficult but he said their maths teacher did pre-empt them about it before the test.

Yes, I heard that from my son too and was puzzled. I thought he was having his ting xie yesterday and rushed to complete all the words. Had I know, I wouldn't have pressured him. The thing is my son is on 2 days MC, I wonder what will happens to his oral then. :roll:Hi Jen!
No idea, but I think it should be today (my guess only). Zhang Lao Shi was in a meeting yesterday. The kids were supposed to have their orals, too. This will now take place today.
How could Zhang Lao Shi go for a meeting when he was supposed to have classes? :x
The class was split into two during Chinese lesson. My boy got his Chinese unit review back, even though Zhang Lao Shi didn't teach him yesterday. :scratchhead: -

Hi Preggie,Hi Jen, QSM,
How do you usually revise with your kids? Apart from doing assessment books, what else can we do to help them?
My son is weak in English therefore we read books as part of our daily activities, then with it, we also practice vocabulary and test his understanding of the language.
As for chinese, I revised mainly with the cards (the one that comes as part of the book list). Reinforcing the recognising of the words and also ask him to write down the hanyu pinyin at the back of the cards. When he remembers all, I will follow up with the assessment book for that chapter, just to wrap up the whole chapter.
As for maths, if he has understand the concept taught, then I just revise with assessment books.
What about yourself? Do you revise all the subjects with assessment books? Any tips on helping children who are weak in English? -

QMS,Hi Jen!
Our boys didn't have their Chinese unit review yesterday. They will be having it today instead.
Thanks for keeping me informed. My boy informed me about it on Thurs but unfortunately, I have a regional meeting from Thurs to Sat, was unable to revise more with him, hope that he can survive
