    • RE: Rude using hp during meals time?

I try not to use my phone when i am out for meals with my friends, only checking it occasionally for messages but not scrolling social media etc.

I don’t allow my little one to watch videos on youtube while we are out having meals too, if he is cranky or can’t sit in the baby chair me and my husband will take turns to bring him out for a walk! i strongly believe that you have to ‘train’ them from young haha

    • RE: Let's Share Some Recipes For Simple Homecooked Meals.

Will recommend busy moms to try out freshef. I've personally ordered twice from them and find that the ingredients sent to me were fresh and best of all, all prepared and i save time on all the chopping and slicing.

This is what i received for my ABC pork ribs soup:

I find that their prices are quite reasonable as well, this soup cost $10.90(if i remember correctly) and it is for 3 - 4 pax, i save the leftovers for next day to bring to work place for lunch 🙂
Overall, convenient for me as i don't have to go to the market to get the ingredients and i just throw everything in a pot & simmer, then stir-fry other dishes. Simple dinner for hubby and myself haha.

    • RE: What is your dinner?

This was my dinner on friday night! and it was made with a delivery service that provides pre-portioned, chopped ingredients for the specific dish i chose. I was pretty surprised by the quality of the ingredients as it was my first time ordering. The fish and prawns were all fresh. So basically the ingredients came individually packed, all i had to do was to follow their recipe card and cook, didnt have to chop the ingredients at all!

      i had the:
      1) Thai Steamed Barramundi with Chilli & Lime
      2) Steamed Garlic Prawns with Vermicelli
      3) Steamed Chicken with Black Fungus & Mushroom

if you all are interested, the company is called Freshef but you can google it as the admin may remove my post if i link it here 😓

    • RE: Fresh or Frozen meat

i don’t think refreezing thawed meat will be good, so always try to cook the thawed meat on the same day.

Have anyone tried baking in the air fryer? I have one at home but i have yet to try to bake things in it hahha.

Yes, very fast but due to size of fryer, the cake is around 17cm diameter.

oh i see, how do you gauge the timing if you're using airfryer? do we halve the recipe time or have to trial and error? 🙂

    • RE: Food Panda - food delivery

hi all, tried foodpanda a couple of times. Some times for lunch in office and a few times for lazy weekend dinner. So far, i’ve tried Grabfood, food panda and Deliveroo. Sadly i’ll rank Foodpanda the last, they are not THAT bad but i feel the other companies are doing better in terms of the arrival times of my order.

But food panda’s customer service is good though.

    • RE: Favourite Instant Noodles

when we are younger and my family is not doing so well, my mum will cook tong yi instant noodles (its a green packaging with thin noodles) with an egg. So now i always eat it when i’m feeling nostalgic hahha otherwise, i like nongshim. Used to be a orange packaging but now they changed it to a red one.
