Honestly i only take open house as a rough guide. Because the schools will showcase their best students and you know like a salesman trying to sell their products. You will only know more about the school when you have the real feel of the general student population. Something which I don’t know as I don’t stay close by and honestly AES was never in my preferred school list in the 1st until the release of the results. If not i would have definitely done more homework about the schools i have to choose from now. From what i see my gut feel for now say AES should be a rather decent school choice. just that we may need to motivate and keep a close lookout on our kids for the nxt 2-3yrs as this is the age where kids are guillable and may easily fall prey to bad companies. AES may be the bottom 50% sec schools when it comes to rankings. But to be fair my daughters grades are nothing great either. AES being christian school do believe in giving chances to people. Their believe in never giving up on someone. So maybe just maybe AES maybe the school for my girl to unleash her true full potential in her teenage years😊
Same here I visited the school during an open house.. Very impressive. I heard also from my friend his son is now Sec2 in AES that nothing to worry about the school, it is a good school...

My son's PSLE mark is good but he insists this school \"AES\" as he mentions, he got \"a good feeling\" in this school. I told him take the GESS, ACS or Clementi Town...

See u all on 23rd Dec... I hope our kids will be in the same class...

      Hello

I am also considering AES for my daughter. Went for the open house as well. School looked Okay. However just like you i am also being discouraged by friends. Some of my friends who lived around the cashew area have nothing good to say about the student behaviour. I think they maybe confused with AES students with those of APS which is just beside. My daughter did not score well for her psle therefore i have very limited choices. I will apply AES as 1 of the choice for NA due to the low COP. However my only concern is discipline and possible influence of students from Assumption Pathway School. Well for my case its a case of beggers cannot be choosers. If you have more info about the school can you please let me know before the application cut off date. Thank You 😊
Same here all my friends insist to take the Clementi Town or GESS but my son likes AES...
Facilities VG... Teacher also very accommodating.. Big factor for me...

Hi I'm deciding between Zheng Hua and AES. Went to ZH openhouse but still feel better with AES. I spoke to AES principal at length just now. In 2018 44% make it to JC in 2018. This year there will be 3 Express, 2 NA, 1 NT classes. They focus on building English language which is good, and came back 4th at national debate this or last year At wits end with limited choice. Yes the openhouse may showcase only good things n good people around. We have to trust that they have the right education system and values, and our children play a part to make good themselves.

      Hi

Did you have any idea what is the student to teacher ratio per class in AES?

      Class is 30 per class...
