sob7:Thank you! Recently I heard a friend recommend ILDO at Bukit timah shopping centre, its a bit far for me but I would like to find out about it, do you know if they are good?Jmum2:Anyone has feedback on JH Kim Taekwondo at Burghley Drive?
You can arrange for trial lesson for your kid there, see if your kid likes the place and such.
Think that they have offer right now, you can go to their fb to have a look.
School is run by Korean , most of the coaches are also Korean I believe.
The school participates in most of the major competitions in Singapore for kids.

RE: Learning Point - Discussion
Terryy:
Just an impression. I thought it seemed that when Learning Lab expanded furiously, Learning Point kind of went below the radar, did not hear so much about them from friends or colleagues. But that is just an impression so wanted to find out more if anyone knows how they are in terms of their science teaching as compared to Learning Lab..Jmum2:
They seem to be expanding quite fast. I thought they were dying down at first. How are they compared to Learning Lab? Am considering science at Learning Lab but would like to know more about Learning Point too..
Why dying down? Thought they are around for a long time already. -
RE: Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools
Hi Ahleo,
From what I know, you need 2 years to do PV at NYPS. KWPS is also very popular, you may not get in at 2C. Can plan back up schools, like which school you can try around that vicinity if you really cannot get the school of choice.
For enrichment, I would recommend Berries for Chinese, CMA for Math (this is more optional, not a must to me), My English School/I Can Read (English). -

RE: The Alternative Story (TAS) - Discussion
akresource69:
I joined TAS not too long ago but I got talking to 2 parents whose children are in my kid's class. One has two older kids who went through TAS and the other has an older one in P5 who has been in TAS since P1.My Son is P3 now and wanted to try out TAS at AMK .Can anyone recommend any good teachers there?PM me if any..
looking at Friday and weekend classes ,they've few classes spread out at Blk 702,704,709 and AMK Hub,.Thanks..
They said they strongly recommend Teacher Elaine, Teacher Joyce, Teacher Jasmine and Teacher Mae-Ann. They mentioned that their own older kids were under the above teachers the longest so they vouch for them. One of them said that the TAS teachers tend to be dedicated and teach well but if there is a chance, do try to go for Teacher Mae-Ann's classes, she is one of the main trainers for teachers and teaches very well and effectively. But my kid is in lower pri and I heard she usually takes upper pri so personally have no experience with her yet. -

RE: Berries - Discussion
My youngest is in N1 Berries. He likes the class and can remember the words learnt but he cannot remember point to the flashcard and say out the word, is that normal? How to get them to remember so many words at this age?
