I thought it's not tat bad. Got updated today tat a new principal will be joining on 7jan. Used to be senior teacher in some school, experienced w handling n planning activities for this age group. I'll be keeping a lookout for sure
latest update too!
Comment from the existing students and parents (with the centre more than 2 years)
Comment on the Christmas celebration on 17th Dec.
Standard drop by 75% compared to the past.
Just like K2 performance. On the music very loud cannot hear the children singing only have action.
In the past there were skits for upper level, almost everyone was involved
Program was short only half-hour compare to 2 hours program in the past.
Very disappointed. Perhaps the new parents may not know about it, it can be easily \"cheated\" them ......
Heard if the new supervisor is a male teachers then even worst. Normally a supervisor should be a female instead of male. Sometime it is not convenience for male teacher to touch a girl body....
Very worry about the planning by the management.....
I am very ka-poo right... just for the sake of new parents -
RE: Ananias BASC
PK mum:
Who would like to leave a place after 10 years of hard work? The ex-supervisor left in Oct 10.Hi Mummies
Anyone out there have experience with Ananias BASC @ Clementi. I need to place my DD there next year, need to know some information about this place......
It was very good in the past, heard the standard drop drastically, many students withdrawing from the centre and join the newly set up by the supervisor.
More details please search for topic under clementi and nan hua pri sch
My children were with her many years ago, a lot of alumina students like to visit her, treated her like their own mom.
Ananias centre seems very 'cool' commented by many parents. No new superviors yet.
Think many times before joining them.

I think the after school care is in the school compound, in the classrooms. I think it doesn't provide a conducive environment for the kids to rest after school. How do the rest feel about the setting?
I totally agreed what you said.
Many of my Nan Hua parents comment that if the child is in the sch compound student care. You can imagine that all their meals are taking in school, how about the nap time for lower primary, in this case, the operator is using the existing classroom, that mean they have to clean out the place immediately after the school lesson. It must be very 'odd', how to make sure that they have the time to clean out everyday. how to make sure that the room is clean for the lower primary to take a nap?? (on the floor??). How about the shower issue, any heater??
Many issues to be solved that why quite a no of parents also hesitate about the above matters. Perhaps anyone can share how do the operator
solve the problem. Many thanks! -

Yes but they say priority given to lower primary. My girl is joining P4 next year :(
Heard that a new centre \"Mustard Seed Centre\", at Blk 354, Clementi ave 2, #01-193, tel 6777 3458, there are quite a few Nan Hua students over there, my friend withdrawing from Ananias centre to join them recently.
i tot there is one operating in the school next year?blueysg:
Hi,

My friend's children already withdrawn from Ananias and join the new ctr, he was very angry and upset about the current management the way treated the previous supervisor.student care that ex-sup open is called Mustard Seed Centre. It's facing the point blk. You shld be able to find as you walk along blk 354. much smaller place compared to ananias ctr as it's just one shophouse big. if space is a concern, then u won't like the space. else it's comparable to other student care around the area.
my dd is in ananias this year. can c vast difference with the new principal. quite a cold person, hardly talk or bother about the children, even though there r only 4 in the morning. i'm monitoring the situation during this sch holiday. Let's c if there's any improvement.
bezzlay, my ds is in 1/4 too
He shared to me that the previous supevrisor work so hard for the past 10 years, once the supervisor refused to sign the new contract (the terms were unfair to her), the management ask her to move out from Ananias ctr within 24hrs. Does not allow her to clear her stuff and step into the centre.
My friend advise is people may not aware the new changes of the management. Please be caution of join Ananias centre. If it is so good why there are so many children withdrawing.
My friend shared that it is true that the new ctr is relatively small, but the qualities are very high, more human touch......
That is all he wants me to share to yours. Cheer -

my DS will be going to Ananias Ctr
By the way a friend of mine told me that the main person in charge of the Ananias Centre is no longer working there. My friend said that the standard of caring and service are reducing and weakening, many students are withdrawning from the centre. It used to be very good but now the place is quite \"cool\" and do not have much \"life\" in it. NO more human touch at all.
Heard that the supervisor is opening another new centre at Blk 354 Clementi Ave 2, not so sure about the Name and the detailed address, but the number is 67773458.
Wish your good luck of searching a good student care. -
RE: Raffles Institution (Year 1-4)
Zann:
I thought only those GEPers (below 80%) need to take the GAT, I understand some may take in July due to personal reason, but what I understand is the GEPers interview will be ended on 22nd July, perhaps those not able to make it within this period (go for oversea competition) may reschedule to later date. U may check it up with RI yourselve.
How about those GEPers who need to take GAT? Will there be interview for them or they follow mainstream ?john.316:
For your info, if I am not wrong RI Interview for GE domin is already start it will end at next Thursday (22nd July).
The person in charge said that once they are able to sort out the selected candidate they will info them by post even before the office date of 31th August. -
