      can anyone explain why the answer is (4)? Thank you!
      Conditions required for photosynthesis - presence of carbon dioxide, water and sunlight.

      while A has no water vapour, it gets the water from the roots.
      In B, the lack of carbon dioxide will prevent photosynthesis.
      In C, the availability of carbon dioxide will allow photosynthesis
      In D, oxygen helps respiration, but it also can photosynthesize as carbon dioxide is produced during respiration.

      GBU:
      Hui Ying hung two objects x and y on two identical springs. Which one of the following statements correctly explains why spring B is longer than spring A after the objects are hung on them?

      (Object x is hung on spring A and object y is on spring B)

      1) the mass of object y is more than that of object x.
      2) spring A stretches less than spring B for the same amount of mass.
      3) the elastic spring force acting on object y is less than that acting on object x.
      4) the gravitational force acting on object x is less than that acting on object y.

      Ans given is 1. Can the answer be 4? Tia
      Answer cannot be 4, gravitational force experienced by all objects are the same. Their weight is affected by the mass.

      Wow...it's very useful information. Thanks all 😃

      As for Comgateway, we can ask their quotation first? or we can calculate from their website?
      yes there is a tool after you login to get an online quote for the item u wish to ship if you provide the URL.

      You can purchase the quote guarantee. Sometimes the retailers send in a much bigger box then the actual goods which can affect the final cost of shipping

      Pls help..

      The avg age of Elvin's friends was 11 years old. Elvin was 7 years old. After Elvin joined the group, the avg age became 10 years old. How many children were there in the group after Elvin joined in?

      Thks.
      Since Elvin is only 7, he gained 3 years to get an avg of 10.
      10-7 = 3
      11-10 = 1
      3 / 1 = 3
      3 + 1 = 4
      So total 4 children in the group.

      I need help with this. It's under the topic of energy.

      http://i58.tinypic.com/ma9i4z.jpg\">

      a. Heat energy comes from underground - geothermal energy
      b. When cold water from the tank travels down the pipe, it gains heat from the ground and becomes warm. The warm water then returns to the hot water storage tank (it is less dense than cold water and rises).
      c. it is a renewable source of energy
      d. then the room temperature is the same temperature as the underground

    • RE: Q&A - P5 Math

      SOS mum:
      Hi, need help for the following qn. Many tks and God Bless:)

      Shariman gets $5 more allowance than Nicky everyday. Each of them spends $10 a day and saves the rest. When Shariman saves $153, Nicky saves only $78. How much allowance does Shariman get every day?
      Shariman will save $5 more each day since they spend the same amount.

      The difference is due to this $5.

      $153-$78 = $75
      75 / 5 = 15
      So they saved 15 days
      15 x 10 + 153= 303
      303 / 15 = 20.20

      should be knew because it happened in the past.

      ‘knows’ is also possible IF there is an indicator in the sentence that it is a present situation.

      http://i62.tinypic.com/29p3n8g.jpg\"> please help with this question .

      you can try branching method

      Orginal ---->4/10 dresses / --> 6/10 Remainder

      Remainder (6/10) --> 7/10 (skirts) = 7/10 x 6/10 = 42/100 of clothes
      ----------------------->so 3/10 (pants) = 3/10 x 6/10 = 18/100 of clothes

      skirts (42/100) - dress (4/10) = 2/100 = 1/50
      1 u -> 30
      50 u -> 50 x 30 = 1500 (total pieces of clothing)

      dresses -> 4/10 x 1500 = 600
      others -> 900
      75% -> 900
      25% -> 900/3 = 300

      600-300 = 300 (answer)

      A + A + A + B + B + B = 20 + 20 + 20

      since A + A + A = B + B
      B + B + B + B + B = 60
      B = 12
      A = 8
