Whole family will be travelling end Nov when PSLE result will be out. Can anyone advice whats the procedure/s , eg do we have to inform the school? will results be mailed to us? or collect the result slips after we return? or we can sent a proxy?...etc

RE: Catholic High (Primary)
nukewind:
1) Recommend not to wear a singlet as the children will sweating when running up and down and playing during recess. Also, classroom has no air con.can i check, for the white school shirt whereby u need to fix on the metal buttons:
1) do you let your boy wear a singlet underneath or will the button rings irritate the kid's skin?
2) fo you actually remove the buttons after each wear for washing, or can you just put the shirt with buttons in laundry net for washing? will the button paint drop off if you do this?
thanks!
2) We actually remove and put on the 7 buttons 3-4 days /week (3 min job), the rest are PE days or the collared anniversary/family day shirt.
I think they can wear the T-shirt everyday except Monday.
Some parents actually sew the buttons on the uniform, but i think it might damage your washing machine. -

RE: 2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take
Anybody knows? , maybe an estimate of what’s the proportion of SC to PR for typical P1 registration, neighbourhood to branded school.
I really have not idea what the PR student population in our schools.

RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools
MandyMummy:
Thanks MM, this is indeed the last option if 哥哥 fail to transfer to a co-ed school.Hi, jor,
If you transfer your son from a GEP school to a nonGEP school and if he makes it to the GEP program, you will need to transfer again. Your son will need to adapt to the environment again.
I can see from your earlier post that your dd is doing pretty advanced stuff for her age. It may be better to transfer her to a better school using her P1 results.
JMHO. -
RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools
True, no guarentee that popular schools have vacancies, and even they do, does not mean it will be offered.
Anyway, will try cold knocking on afew doors to see the reactions. -
RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools
thanks for your wonderful input, i share the same concerns and advice.
The problem is, looking at this year’s P1 registration, my Dd will have no chance in getting in to most/all (1st choice school) as well live >1.5km from almost all school:)
The only way i can think of is to transfer Ds to a Co-ed school and enroll Dd in Phase 1…btw Dd is in k1 and is learning mulitiplications and chinese proverbs already, so thinking of a better school for foundation. -
RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools
Need help!!
My Ds P1 is in CHS and is doing very well in class. (full marks for most tests).
I am thinking of transferring him to another popular co-ed school so that Dd can enroll in Phase 1.
Any advice?
