Hi phtthp,
Sorry, I can’t help with your first question re the POA teacher as my son is not doing POA.
As for your 2nd question, students can do HCL in the school, they do not need to travel to another school. At least that’s the case for the Sec 3 cohort this year.

RE: Geylang Methodist Secondary School
Hi,
My son is in GMSS, Sec 4 next year.
GMSS has a nurturing environment, supportive and dedicated P and teachers. Quite a wide range of CCAs considering a relatively small cohort size. School has quite a supportive and flexi subject combi system for Upper Sec.
Hope that helps! -
RE: CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh)
Hi, I would like to hear some experience of your daughters from IJ Toa Payoh who attend student care (school based or student care near the school). Thank you.

Thanks for your feedback, MerlioninGermany! Yap, I will contact them to find out more but at the same time, I was hoping to get feedback from parents here.

RE: O-Level Chemistry
Hi, does any one here have experience or feedback regarding the centre, Math Science Guru. I’m keen to get feedback on their Chemistry tutor, Mr Allen for Sec 3 and 4 Pure Chemistry. Will appreciate any feedback shared here or via PM. Thanks!

RE: CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh)
That’s nice and reassuring to know!
Just need to get the logistics sorted out. Any idea if there’s school bus services to Boon Keng area from CHIJ Toa Payoh? -
RE: CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh)
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a school bus from the school to Boon Keng area? How long is the trip and the bus fare? I’m alumni of the school. My elder DS graduated from Hong Wen School which is within walking distance from our place. Now trying to decide if I should send my DD to CHIJ Toa Payoh or Hong Wen School. Thanks. -
RE: 2018 PSLE Discussions & Strategies (Born in 2006)
I know of a teacher who specialises in helping students doing Foundation Maths (P5 and P6) or struggling very hard with Maths (P4 and below). Her methodology and resources are tailored to help these students understand and apply the concepts more easily. This teacher is also special needs trained so she also has experience working with students with moderate learning challenges. The teacher is also building up resources for this group of students as there is really limited resources in the market for them. Parents who are keen to get help for their kids in this area or wish to contribute and share resources (especially your child's school test/exam papers for Foundation Maths) can PM me or email: [email protected]. Disclaimer: I'm not the teacher, just sharing this info with parents as support for students taking Foundation subjects is limited and not easy to find.
