Sorry, I can’t help with your first question re the POA teacher as my son is not doing POA.

As for your 2nd question, students can do HCL in the school, they do not need to travel to another school. At least that’s the case for the Sec 3 cohort this year.

My son is in GMSS, Sec 4 next year.

GMSS has a nurturing environment, supportive and dedicated P and teachers. Quite a wide range of CCAs considering a relatively small cohort size. School has quite a supportive and flexi subject combi system for Upper Sec.

Does anyone know if there is a school bus from the school to Boon Keng area? How long is the trip and the bus fare? I’m alumni of the school. My elder DS graduated from Hong Wen School which is within walking distance from our place. Now trying to decide if I should send my DD to CHIJ Toa Payoh or Hong Wen School. Thanks.

I know of a teacher who specialises in helping students doing Foundation Maths (P5 and P6) or struggling very hard with Maths (P4 and below). Her methodology and resources are tailored to help these students understand and apply the concepts more easily. This teacher is also special needs trained so she also has experience working with students with moderate learning challenges. The teacher is also building up resources for this group of students as there is really limited resources in the market for them.
