It's okay Mummy. Like Taylor Swift sings, Shake it off. Concentrate on psle now. Playing this dsa game is like that, stats/chances are that most of us here will not get a CO or WL. But we try for the experience, and if lucky enough to get called for interview, take it as also free oral practice?
Feel better? Smile and have a nice day okay?
Haha thanks. The 2 rejections came from hci sports and NUSH.
Somehow I felt that this whole dsa thingy is very stressful for the mummy and very disappointing for the child.
When the child goes for psle, there is nothing mummy can do, but just to count on the child. But the dsa procedure is a different game. So hair pulling.
DS is going for the njc steam written test today. Does anyone knows if the side gate next to the bus stop in front of njc, is accessible? Or need walk all the way in to enter from the front gate?[/quote]Hi ApricotHoney,
I can understand how you feel. 2 years ago, my child went for 2 trials and 1 interview and was quite hopeful that at least 1 CO/WL will be given. But at the end, none

. It can be quite disheartening. Us, the parents, felt that time had been wasted.
After doing some reflecting, we think that it has been a good experience. It is also a good learning point for the child that life is not always a bed of roses. He learnt to face rejection and we all moved on from there, focusing on PSLE.
This year, another child is doing DSA and our point of view is rather different. We are taking a chance doing DSA as an alternative route to child's dream school, hopeful for a CO/WL :xedfingers: but ready for any rejection. We are still anxious but somehow less stressed knowing that it's a game of chance (with calculated risk?

LOL) .
åŠ æ²¹ every KS parents here. 2.5 more months to end of PSLE!
