UBKmom:So quiet today...I guess all parents are happy now.:)
Lots of mixed feelings I think.... Some happy, some in a bit of disbelief as the system is quite different this year; feels like there might be fewer COs (?), especially via academics.

zxha::congrats: So happy for you and your DD!received via email. dsa sports.
sorry too excited to type in full sentences.
zxha:just received from RGS
Growing.Pains:Is RGS waiting till FIVE P.M. to release???
PT73:Any idea about SCGS and if they have completed all the interviews yet? Have yet to hear from them
tyeogh:jugglermum and yngmng, are your daughters applying under the maths or science or GEP domain?
Thanks for the info Yngmng, and youโre absolutely right. I told my DD to be positive about the process. On the positive side, I feel like sheโs become even more motivated about the PSLE as she really wants to go RGS but recognises that DSA is a slim chance. Good luck to your DD at the test!
Hi! Have any of you whose kids are applying for DSA this year (2016), started hearing back from schools yet?
My daughter who is in GEP was called for an interview at RGS 2 weeks ago, and we just found out today that she has to attend a half-day programme/test this Saturday (stress!). When I read past posts, the test seems to be if your SA1 results arenโt so good, but this year is strange as some of her friends who are top in Maths/Platinum MO are also called for the test! So Iโm wondering if anyone knows:
1. If going for the test is a good sign or not
2. What sort of Qs are usually asked in the Science RGS DSA half-day test?
Thanks!
hquek:Hi all,
Orientation over and class life is starting in earnest. Glad to say that DS is settling in well in his new environment. He's taking school bus this year and from the way he describes the fun they have, I also feel like taking school bus.
Not sure if it applies in all centres, but my kid has had some sort of readiness testing for gep subjects and some of the stuff he describes to me sound beyond scary (needless to say, he was probably guessing the answers through). Any one else got similar story?
sometimes applying what she knows from her own knowledge, since the Qs often didn't have anything to do with what they've been taught before.
