Hi pinktea, really nice to see your viewpoint here! I do agree that there is more to just extra homework and extra hours spent in school. What we really should be focused on at this phase for our kids is to nurture their joy of learning, creative thinking and most importantly, life skills. All of us have been through the standard education process in SG and most of my friends agree, there is always plenty of years out there where we have to work hard, harder and harder still. Childhood years are precious memories where we built social skills by playing with friends, teamwork by learning through games and honestly, I am glad my kid doesn’t have to do long hours and face more homework in and after school. Of course, being too relaxed is also not a great idea but for now, I haven’t felt like PCPS has let down my kid academically.


cyn32 - Before/After School Care - There’s quite a few around TPY and I send my kid to PlayFacto which is so far not too bad.

We managed to get in via Phase 2B and there were still 16 slots that could be passed over to 2C.

Phase 2C should have 67 spaces for application. If you are SC living within 1KM, should be pretty safe I hope?
