I am a student who took my O Levels in 2017. I just got back my O Level results yesterday. However, I was late for the assembly so I missed out on some information that my principal mentioned in the hall. If anyone has detailed information of the distinction rate and passing rate of each subject, do message me. Thank you.

RE: Is going to a better school worth hour long travel times?
Choco05:
Same too. I take mrt & bus to sch every morning and afternoon and I take around an hour. Can I know which area do you live and what sch you are attendingI take about 1h 15min to come back from school, in the morning i take school bus. No regrets. I find the time quite relaxing actually, get to clear your head
There are people living all over Singapore attending my school.
So i guess the long distance is worth it
My family doesn't own a car.

I'm sure most P1 parents would be in school on the first day of school, to watch how our DDs fit in etc...but...how many days are we allowed to be there?
Around one week :xedfingers: -
RE: Secondary School Selection 2013
hmsg:
RGPS isn't affiliated to RGS. Thus, everyone need to get 259 and above to go in. PS Not everyone can get above 259 :3GreenA:
I was at NYGH today. Out of 420 admitted pupils, there are 75 from Nanyang Primary School. Another 30+ from Raffles Girls Primary School. These two schools are really impressive. My daughter is the only one from her primary school.
Wow... Surprising those fr RGPS didn't opt to go RGS... -
RE: Appeal Secondary One Posting
indilemma:
Omg... I'm also appealing to FMSS :scared: What did you child get??mumwith1boy1gir, same problem!
Dilemma AGAIN... I am beginning to dislike Dec 2013!
Background:
COP of FMSS is 241 for non affiliated and 200 for affiliated; FMSS is affiliated to ACJC.
COP of CSS is 238, no affiliation to any pri schools nor JC.
Child was posted to CSS and am appealing to FMSS.
But am in a dilemma because
- FMSS wins because it has got an established reputation and it has got affiliated JC. However, the affiliated pri students will PULL DOWN the school 'standard' of 241; probably evens it out to be a 220-230 grade? Dear child will be average student amongst the cohort.
- CSS has got no name (I think so; however I do get a 'woah' when I speak to West side people or educators among friends) and no affiliation to any JCs BUT minimums standard of students is a clear cut at min. 238. Dear child will be the 'smallest fish' amongst the cohort.
IF appeal is successful at FMSS, would you still move? Why...?
Thanks! -

Yup. Kids are allocated in P4. The best class among the Mainstream classes is 4F and next is 4E and the other classes are almost the same. And of course, GEP: 4P,4Q,4R are the best :xedfingers:So the kids are allocated based on their performance in p4 classes and not p3 right?
If yes, can share which are the better classes and so forth.
This applies for P5 and P6 also

Hi Julian,JulianLuvsGreen:
Am very new here....Can someone kindly enlighten me ? We were given a school that is quite a distance from where we live. We would like to appeal to a nearer school. Hwr, in the event that our appeal is successful but we decided not to accept after DD is happily settled in given sch, is this possible ? Or, we have to accept the sch that we had appealed successfully to ?
ME 2~THE SCHOOL THAT I AN FINE WITH IS QUITE FAR FROM MY HOUSE SO I DECIDED TO APPEAL TO A NEARER AND OSO GOOD SCHOOL....I NEED ADVICE :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:
Mind going easy on the caps? If you decided to appeal, then why do you need advice? :? :?
Alicorn
I'm over agitated
and I meant I need advice on this :In the event that my appeal is successful but I decided not to accept after I am happily settled in given school, is this possible ? Or,I have to accept the school that I had appealed successfully to ? :xedfingers:
