Hi ,you can use the http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/stub online and they can listen to the sound which i did for my girl. šŸ˜„
So far my girl had shown improvement in her phonics, heard from her teacher.
Nansk, thanks for sharing your tips and advice.

Thanks Junemum! I find your link useful to me too. šŸ˜‚

      Thanks for your advice, nansk!!

I truly agree with u that reading is important as it can help them recognize words and build their vocab!

I visited the blends phonics website which you recommended. Couldn't found any audio aid. I worry my pronunciation may be wrong as I did no learn phonics before.

As for me, i bought my DD for the open house and show her how fun to be in all-girls school. Actually i'm staying within 1km from a mixed pri sch but firmly decided to choose CHIJ.

There are some naughty boys hanging around the void deck sometimes and she didn't like their behaviour so she told me that she don't like this sch which made things easier for me. šŸ™‚

What about bowling? I saw they have this CCA? Is it for Pri 3 and above only?

Can someone advise what CCAs choice do Pri 1 have? šŸ™‚

      Hello mummies,

I had just received the confirmation form and my girl is also being accepted by kellock. :rahrah:
Heard there is balloting and one of my girl's schmate couldn't get in. :gloomy:
Anyway she still have another two friends who will be studying with her next yr. šŸ†’ Seem like it is popular choice among her group.

      Nansk,
Thank for letting us know about the reading. Your list is very great and i'm printing it out to practise with my girl. šŸ˜„
regarding the blue/black jacket. That mean we could just use any brand except the school?

Hi nansk, is there any shelter if we need to drop off our child during rain? Are we able to drive in sch compound?

And are there any tests on the child before she was assigned to her class. I mean like asking parents whether their child has any enrichment class during her k2....etc. So the average one will be group in same class while the smarter one will be group in another class. This is what I heard at other neighborhood school. šŸ™‚

Pigtabbiit, I also intend to enroll my girl in this sch too. So far I know quite a number of teachers there also put their children in this sch. That mean must be good šŸ™‚
