U can wait list in as many schools as you want and its not in order of who came first. Admission is at the discretion of the school.

Let's say At particular school,
parent A out from balloting in 2C.
parent B withdraw in 2C and registered at other school.
At the end of registration period, parent A and B managed to get a place in other school.
But parent B fill up in waiting list in the first previously withdraw school.
parent A never return back to first school.


If got one vacancy at first school, school will call to who?
What are chances between A and B.

The truth is anyone can be in waiting list but whom to pick is school’s sole discretion which is not transparent. Student with priority has to be in certain relationship to school, shows sort of talent..etc.

Most importantly, there must be vacancies from students transfer out (handful or less) or expansion of classes (see your luck)

I am not sure if this has ever been raised before.

PR children can get into phase 1 of their school of choice easily if they also have a PR sibling already in their school of choice.
This means that a spot has been given to a PR student over a Singapore citizen
...

PRs have been losing privileges along the years, jobs, housing, and education. In fact PR who got seats in early phase could be very few comparing to SC or their own population.

If all privileges are taken away, PR will be eventually not attractive at all. When this group become very minority and no influence, I am pretty sure some SCs will start blame other groups of SCs for unfairness.

CHS normally doesn’t accept PV beyond 1km. maybe some Catholics staying 1km away would try their luck but chance is usually slim.

Everyone can be put into waitlist, however vacancies will be given considering priorities, e.g., who didn’t get a place in 2B, 2C stage, or demonstrates outstanding capabilities, or has other connection to school etc.

Don’t count on this as chance is slim and process isn’t transparent.

Went to catholic high for2A2 registration. 6 applicants are residing with 1km.
