I have an Indonesian helper. She has been with me for 2ys 5 months. I’m moving to a smaller unit and both kids will be in school so I don’t need a helper. I’m currently paying her 600 with 1 off day but she is asking for 750 with 2 off day. For the first 18 months, i did not give her my WiFi and told her she can purchase a calling card if she wants to. After 18 months I gave wifi. After 2 yr contact, she requested for 1 off day. She doesn’t cook our dishes. She knows how to cook though. But I prefer cooking my own food. She doesn’t have to take care of my kids again cos I an hands on. She is only around for housework and washing up and laundry. She wants to take care of kids in her new house. For food wise, since I cook my own food, I allow her to cook her own food. She will need 2 whole chicken per week, and 3 types of vegetables per week and 30 eggs per month. She finishes 10 bananas in a week. She also requires new employer to get toiletries for her. If anyone is interested, pls pm me. She is good with housework and is willing to move on to childcare duties. Basic English.

I have no idea. Does this 75 include applications who are above 2km? Prs? I keep telling myself not to worry as I still have one more year to go, but I can't help think about it.

Yes. Those who get balloted out at ACSP and ACSJ <1km will have to apply to another school in Phase 2CS. The usual choices for 2CS in that catchment area are either Bukit Timah Primary or Farrer Park Primary.

Thank u for your inputs. I think it makes the choosing process a lot easier. Cos we have to weigh our risks also…although grandparents stay near a popular school, at 2c, as close as 700m. But we will only be balloted at 1k-2km, no matter wat. So either way, the risk is quite high.

I have a few choices. SJI, ACS Jr, ACS Pri and Rosyth.

Perhaps if you just tell us the school, us KSP veterans can tell you immediately whether 1-2km would be safe or not. We have the balloting history of the various schools.

Woah! That is scary. Esp for popular schools. And all this happens at phase 2c. So you go in hoping that 1km, there are not many kids, and then you somewhat stand a chance at the 1km- 2km range? The ballot is only with distance? Would the MT language come into consideration?
