RE: Networking Group - JCs General
Hi parents. Do most students in RI and HCI take 4 H2 subjects? Would the schools focus less on H1 level? A friend is wondering if taking 3 H2 and 1 H1 put the child in a disadvantaged position. Thank you.

Hi parents. Is Sec 2 to Sec 3 a huge jump in terms of difficulty, workload and stress levels? Any sharing would be appreciated. DD will be taking 8 subjects and emotionally ok so far. But I’m worried about her mental health in upper Sec. Thank you.

Hi parents. We are trying to understand the risk of opting for only one humanities (ie triple science and IH. No other humanities). How does L2R5 result affect JC, other than the requirement to meet MSG3.0 for promotion to JC? Does it impact the class assigned or chances of getting into special programs? Thank you.

Does more in depth mean learning A levels syllabus ahead of time?

Hi parents. Any of your DDs are taking this combi in Sec 3: triple science, geography, IH, double math, LA and HCL? Is the workload very heavy? Especially those with other commitments (advanced subjects, special programs, leadership position…), how are your DDs coping?
The school seems to discourage 9 subjects but I’m worried about giving up one science at this early age. And DD is keen to try for the other commitments.
Any experience sharing or advice will be much appreciated. Thank you!
