:goodpost: Very informative! Thanks a lot for sharing!

My boy loves music. He is playing 2 instructments, with one in dip level. Since he spends so much time on it already and will continue to do so, it would be better to take MEP. Simply, no wast effort....

For those going to RI... You don’t need to worry that CCA will clash with 3rd language because the school assigns Tuesday as 3rd language day so there are no CCAs on Tuesdays.

3rd language is on tue and MEP is on Thursday. Although they don't clash, it's not encouraged to take both because the load is just too heavy with CCA. For those taking MEP at RI, you have to join a performing arts CCA, so if your DS is planning on doing sports, then he has to reconsider.

Is JFK space centre worth a visit?

Go if you are interested in Space Exploration or / and have at least pri school going kids because the younger ones may find it boring. Even better if your visit coincides with a space shuttle take-off.
Also got to bear in mind that it's about 1 hr plus drive away from WDW, so you need to set aside one day for this.

    • RE: All About Violin Classes and Teachers

Any recommendation for a violin teacher in the east? We have just returned from overseas and I’m looking for a teacher who is strict on technique. Thanks!

      Hi Myeo,

The $22 comprise of $17 for some Chinese mag subscription and $5 is for books for the reading programme. Probably your girl’s chinese teacher has not given her the circular yet.

Hi keiko, my DS is I Unity too!

I also couldnt figure out the abbreviations on time table and ask the form teacher to provide explanation - so she wrote in DS diary all the terms used in the time table.

Did you hear about having to pay S$2 for some social studies journal? There was no notification in the diary and my DS had only $1.50 in his wallet after recess yesterday and a girl in class actually lend him S$0.50 to make up the difference! Best part is he does not know the girl's name! I told him he has to go find the girl and pay her back...
      Hi Musings,
You want to PM me privately to let me know your DS' name so that I check if mine knows him 🙂

DS wrote about the $2 payment for journal in his diary, so I gave that to him to bring to school. The girl in his class is so cute.... I'm sure her mummy will be asking her to account for the missing 50 cents in her pocket money. 😂

DS told me to put the money in a ziplock / plastic bag, write the name on the bag and clip it to the circular and diary so that he can pass it to the teacher.

I thought that’s better than putting the $22 in his wallet.

      Ahhh… Thanks Myeo.

If they want to use abbreviations so as to fit everything into the small table. At least they should provide a separate legend to explain the abbreviations. Thank goodness for alternative sources like this forum!

Myeo, he has ASB during the first period on wed. I was trying to match the abbreviations in the timetable with all the subjects listed in the diary. Just can’t figure what ASB is.

      Hi all,

      I've got a boy in P1 Unity 🙂
I was looking at the timetable, what is ASB? All these abbreviations need a while to get used to.

Mrs Kiasu, could the teacher have kept the Health Ed book? DS says his was kept by the teacher so that they don't have to bring it back and forth. Maybe write a note to the teacher to check?
