Staying at clementi… Is this safe or are we wasting a choice in fairfield?

Commonwealth is 239. You can still try your luck but be realistic with safer other choices with your son having 234. An example could be:

1st: Commonwealth (239)
2nd: Fuhua (236)
3rd: Clementi Town (235)
4th: Bukit Batok Secondary (229)

As you are still under Tscore system, just put whatever schools u want to try

But

Your #5 and #6 last 2 significant choices, must be

at least 10 points
BELOW your son's Tscore

so that should anything unforseen circumstances happen

the last choice school #6, very crucial, must be able to catch him. Otherwise, will become a free fall all the way down to dont-know-what secondary school posted to, if your last choice school is not able to catch him anymore

Does it mean that the cut off points are just a indicative scores of students that were accepted in 2019?
