First time doing registration but once I secure West Spring, my 2nd child secure place in West Spring when his turn to go Pri 1. So very worth it. Next year Pri 1 registration, West Spring sure have phase 1 & 2B some more. Stiff competition!
My sister in law actually registered her child under 2B in school in Choa Chu Kang for next year but now thinking of sending her girl to West Spring so that she and my girl in same school studying together. She also like the play base approach in getting children to enjoy learning through experience. I think they will also remember better. I looked through the updated FAQs and find that the school cares for children as got homework policy to make sure children dont get overloaded with too much work at young age. I see one of my neighbour's child everyday so much homework, only get to sleep at 10pm, he is only in P3! Everytime I see him, he looks so sleepy as I think not enough sleep. Thank goodness West Spring teachers will also help to keep some books in class cupboards so that school bag not too heavy.

1. So far, 209 places left. That would mean the 1km have high chances.
2. New buildings, new facilities. While many schools upgrade the next few years, this West Spring is ready.
3. Principal has good track records. Come from good school.
4. Teachers selected from other good schools. Not new teachers who not experienced.
5. 210 Primary 1 pupils. My child gets all the attention.
6. Response time. The school responds very fast, both on feedback through phone and emails.
7. Parent engagement. Many of us went for chat session. School is very approachable and engaging.
8. I also saw Phase 2b, not PV yet. Must be grassroots leader signed up. They might have some information good about the school. Good indication also.
9. Play-based Learning. Link form kindergarten.
10. Homework policy.

Yeah, I agree...my friend's wife called the school to register for the chat session but the line was busy. So, she sent email to West Spring Pr and left her hp no for them to return her call. She then received the call on the same day. Well done!

I read form this forum and see West Spring Pri seems like a rising star. Actually I am decided to go to West Spring, they look like very fast to reply us. I like the idea of play and learn, like very diffrent and got some character like that. Also, many people in this forum also look like very curious about West Spring.

The website going be up with more information, brochures to at BP library and CC. If your kiddos are in nearby kindergartens/student cares, they receive brochures.

I must say I kind of more or less going to try West Spring. New facilities and small population. Only P1. Just focus on P1 in 2014, with Play and Learn in the school. Seems like a good bet.

Hi all...

I have been a silent reader
Saw about the new West Spring Primary School.

Im registering my firstborn for p1 soon.
So needs some kind of advice..
I simply have no idea on how to go abt all this selection thingy lol..

We are at Senja and the nearest sch we have <1km is West View Pri..
But somehow after hearing feedbacks from friends, their feedbacks seemed to be rather negative abt the achool..
the sch seemed to have more non locals..but i guess I have check and confirm on that

Any idea if the new WEST SPRING PRIMARY will have a public bus route there anytime soon?

And also any feedbacks on BEACON PRIMARY?

We are considering the school based on the public bus services route as we prefer our child to be able to travel on their own once they r in pri 3..
And of course based on the school's teachings..sort if..

I also would love to hear feedbacks on other schools too

Would appreciate any inputs and suggestions..

WEST SPRING PRI is next to ZHENGHUA SEC... then 920, 922 and take Jelapang LRT.
If I am not wrong, BEACON PRI will only have their P6 graduating end of the year, not sure...

Hi hi, heard from the RC people also about the new school.
The new principal is from a very famous school.
They have also dance studio, running track, drama theater
The buidling very nice from the newspaper.
Anyone else has any more information abt West Spring?
I heard always new school very popular.
