    • RE: All About Bullying

There is no excuse for bullying. But I have come across the phrase "hurt people hurt people" and that gave me a whole new perspective that the bully might have been trying to deflect his own shame and guilt.

    • RE: All About Handwriting

I agree with the comments here, just a quick story - I have a primary school student who has less than ideal handwriting but is extremely smart (in english and math). He tells me that his \"head spins like crazy\" and he wants to get the information out on the paper as fast as possible, resulting in the \"ugly\" handwriting. What I have done is to nicely tell him to tell his brain to slow down as we have all the time in the world. It has worked out pretty well 🙂

    • RE: Has the purpose for tuition change ??????

As I tutor, I think the main purpose of tuition is to introduce concepts to the student earlier than their school’s pace and give them more time to get comfortable with the topic. This usually translates to a more enjoyable learning by a more confident student who naturally performs better. I totally agree that the tutor in question should not voice his/her frustration out loud and deflect the blame to the student/parent. Drop the tutor asap…
