    • RE: How to train/ teach a kid to Reading and Learning?

      momkiasu:
There are various methods you can approach this matter. 2 of my kids learnt to read from picking up books from the library and gained a quick interest into learning on their own. However, my 1 of my 3 children did not have the same interest his siblings had when it came to learning on his own. With kids like this, you as a parent have to introduce them to such things. You need to show them the benefits of reading and learning, this would create an incentive to the child. Once, you have successfully shown him/her the benefits of knowledge, they would be hungry for more and would start to read and learn on their own.

Some children really have a distaste for reading or paying attention or learning. It does seem mildly challenging when faced with such psychological obstacles at times.
