Btw she's taking HCL. Does she hv to sit for 2 papers (both normal Chinese & higher chinese like in primary school) or just HCL? And is there oral for HCL?

She does not have to sit for 2 papers. Instead, HCL will totally replace CL :rahrah: . And if i'm not wrong (according to my DDs teacher) there is oral for HCL but instead of looking at a picture you have to watch a video or sth like that . Heard it is very cheem. :nailbite:

My DS L1R5 is 9 and after deduct 1 bonus point is 8, if he apply for NYJC, will the chances be slim as there seems to be many 6 and 7 points students also going to apply for that JC?

The chances are probably not slim although there are many students with 6/7 points also applying for NYJC. As long as you reach the COP, or even better, get lower than the COP then everything should be fine.

You should try for TJC. Since you are only one point away from the COP you should give a try. Anyways, no harm trying!

I am not very sure in how to calculate the cca points But what I know is cca participation = 1 per year ,

participation in competition and did not win anything(interschool) = 1 per year ?
Class subject representative =2 for one year ,if continues the next year then 3 .
Nyaa bronze =2?
Some kind of school activities =2 activities is 1point ?
Cip =100 hours 5points
Sorry for so many queries TIA ! The school says nothing about cca points and leave us dumbfounded

You can check your DCs school website, most of the schools website should have the info about the LEAPS grading system.
