this 九层糕 must be from the traditional stall, not from bengawan solo. i like 马来糕 too...but can't find one which is soft and fluffy. tiong bahru pau has but it's hard to catch the timing. each time we go there to buy char siu pau, 马来糕 is always sold out.

I oso like tat :hi5: . Think to buy it, best to go in the early afternoon.

I used to buy quite abit of clothes for my dds when they were younger. Straight to kids dept followed by supermarket when go weekly shopping. But not now. Kids outgrown their clithes quite fast and moreover most time in school uniforms now. Household dept is my favorite place now.

I still like to buy clothes for them, coz kids' clothes are so cute but they are the ones to resist. Hahahaha.. U r a 24 fillal piety cooking mum, tats y nw hsehold dept is ur fav. I like buying bags, clothes and accessories cum assessment books but normally they oso dun like, needless to say :rotflmao:

I oso find that kids can wear their clothes for quite some time n often. So much so that we got to ask them to wear something different every wk but wif not much effect la.

I'm fine with them wearing the same clothes a lot, as long as they're clean! Saves money and space. I recall when I was in Pr school, I only owned 3 dresses which I wore in rotation every Sunday. Everyone knew my 3 dresses! For the rest of the week, I probably only had school uniforms, school shorts and a handful of T-shirts. And it wasn't because my parents weren't willing to get me more clothes, I didn't enjoy shopping even at that age.

Mine is the same set every wk. So ppl who saw them last wk, will see a duplicate copy of them the next :rotflmao:

Do go try Galicier if u r at the vicinity, juz facing the main road n less than 5 mins walk frm famous zi char, Sai Hor San.

Coz the rd is pretty narrow so waiting there and parking is a challenge, especially wkends morning, phew.

Orh.. R u referring to Maxwell food centre? I haven't dine there for a long time, always buy takeaways coz find the tables to chairs' level nt proportion, difficult to eat in comfort. But there's a few gd eats there though like the porridge and kuehs.

Have u tried Amoy hawker ctr? Quite a few gems there too

Am thinking to eat kway chap and dumpling tomolo. Tiong bahru kuehs got to wait liao coz ate lots of junks aka snacks today. Dumplings considered snacks hor so nt out of topic

I like the 鱼片米粉 at Maxwell market. I dislike Chinatown market hawker centre @ Smith street. Rather go yum char at Tak Po (just across the road). But the fishes sold at the wet market in Chinatown market is really cheap.

Yum char's style is like dim sum pattern right. How's the ambience n seatings there? Crowded?

the first 2-3 times we ate there, price was still reasonable...suddenly price jacked up so much and it's not even CNY. the 鱼片面粉 is the most authentic cantonese taste. i just love the soup.

back to snacks, i love kueh salat and 九层糕. it's just a wonderful feeling to peel off layer by layer. my kids would be like, 'mummy, why must you peel off? just eat the whole thing.'

only going to sign up for one tuition? good leh mine started her first tuition in P1 did your piggy complain havent enjoy the school hol ? mine complaining already say like havent do anything like that and school starting soon. mine here, pressed for one week to study at home with proper schedule, one week without schedule on what to study (usual nag), one week attending some classes..now i m thinking what to do next week. my original plan was to get her finished with at sci revision (after given so much discount along the way). sci revision only about half book done now. give discount again ? :nailbite:
