Hi Gene mummy,

We moved to Telok Blangah last year (in one of the condo)
My 2 kids are with CH Bukit Purmei. As my eldest one (boy) has been enrolled into K1 and now K2 for a year. He is doing great and enjoying his time there, more over after the attending the enrichment class (speech and drama), I can really see his improvement. Not long ago, I decided to put my girl there too, PG1. Starting, she was crying for 1 or 2 days, need to get used without me. But now, she is doing great too, making friends there. Teachers and owner are friendly and willing to listen to my feedback. I remember there was a time when I have problem with the pick up time (due to my work), they are willing to lend me extra hand on this. I think, to verify my statement, you could call to the centre and make appointment for viewing.

Here is the website and contact: 62701939,Ms.Zeng http://www.cherieheartspurmei.com.sg/Contactus_skiBP.html
School fee wise, it is around 720 for 5.5 days (sat, half day), reasonable as of current market pricing.

PS: they have done some renovation works recently, and it looks much better. Teacher to student ratio is my primary concern when selecting a centre for my kid. They have sufficient staff too. So no complaint, as I have my budget too, since I got to save $$$ for my kid's future education.

Hope to see you some time

Hi all, just read news on CNA that Cherie Hearts is under receivership. Not sure how seriously their financial problem is, but parents who have kids in any of their centres better find out more.

HI my kid is with Cherie Hearts Bukit Purmei,
today, i talked to the owner of this centre. Understood that circular has been sent to every parents to explain, centre operation are unaffected and they are running profitable. The owner also put a remark, that the centre is still going on renovation, this means it is not in any financial issue.
Hi mummies,

I'm planning to send my gals to Cherie Hearts @ Bukit Purmei.

Any feedback on this center?

My daughter is K1 in Cheire Hearts @ Bukit Purmei. Although center looks rundown, I guess 700 should be one of the best bargain for Cherie Hearts CC, i believe all Cherie Hearts should be sharing the same curriculum.

I attended last month's Christmas party, was really proud of my daughter when i found that she had helped in the decoration, gift-wrappings.

Some renovation works are ongoing after the new owner takeover 2 months ago. Overall, i'm quite satisfied with this CC.
me too :), attended Xmas party celebration. I felt so happy after seeing my kids' performance. Thanks to the teachers and branch director, they organised the events very well. Hope to see next performance. I will check out on the renovation or new deco, thanks for the info. šŸ™‚

Hi Eve, hope you have found CC for your kid(s). My kid (currently 1 boy) has been there for couple of months since moving back to Sg to work.
My little princess is going to enroll in PG1 next week. Cost wise, it is reasonable less than 700 (with extra early bird and sibling discount). Onething, my daughter has very sensitive nasal problem, so I am very particular about choosing a childcare which having good air circulation and non-aircond. Doctor is also suggesting to me that it is not wise to put kids in the aircond room for long hours. Just like my previous posting, my K2 boy now is getting active, so I am relieve. I was having big headache because my boy was very quiet when keeping him at home with my maid. I guess, it is always nice to explore more about him nowadays. Hope you find this post useful for you.

The centre must on aircon at least during lesson and nap time.

Most of the CC is held at the HDB void deck or beside the main road, imagine, no air-con, during lesson time, the noise from people outside, the air pollution from the road.

During nap time, noises from inconsiderate motorocyclist will wake yr kids.

CC is not like school, the children do not need to sleep in school, most are in quiet surrounding.
Partly agree wt you. but so far, my kids are doing well. the location of this cc is somehow far from public trasnport and it is on top of the hill or teresa church.

i can only say, u pay peanut, you get peanut.

u pay $500 n expect fantastic teacher, dream on.
u pay $1000 n get fantastic teacher, hard to absorb.
u pay $500, n they give you fantastic teacher, share with us, i bet, within a yr, the fee will increase 30%.

Cheap fee. Parents pressure them to get good teacher, once they get it, the CC increase fee to keep them, but as parents, we complain no $$. End up, transfer the kid to another centre cheaper, and complain. Children move out, end up CC closed down due to high cost. It a cycle.

Who is at fault?

So, should we complain or keep quiet?
You are making sense, this is true especially in Singapore. My bottomline is simple, as long as school fee is not skyhigh < 800, it is reasonable for me, couple with good (ofcourse not the best) teachers, I am happy. Being parents, we should take some responsibilities and work hand in hand with CC as well. As I was working in Shanghai-China for the past few years. I witness that how parents are so dedicated to the kids (as the matter of fact, they could only have one). Parents give full authority to the school teachers to teach without much questioning. Don't think this will work in Sg like us. Just imagine when we were very young in the old days, Teacher has much much great power to shape and teach us.
