RE: Travel: Japan - General
Hi,
I’m planning to bring my kids (13yrs & 8yrs) to Tokyo end Nov. As DH unable to go I’m bringing my kids there myself. This is the 1st time to Tokyo, any recommendation of hotels??
For airlines I’m actually looking at Delta & JAL as they are cheaper compare to SQ and ANA. Any review of these 2 airlines, which is better??
Thanks in advance. -
RE: Appeal Secondary One Posting
SpartanMum:
Mike_Lee is right. If your DD has set her heart on the schools in Central, changing now might be quite disturbing for her. If however she is fine with changing to a school in the East, then it's urgent that you look carefully at the schools in the East and identify at least 2 that are of the best fit in terms of her T-score as well as the school culture/environment. While success in appeal is not guaranteed as the schools will not be in her 6 choices, there is no harm appealing IMHO. Just make sure you and DD are mentally prepared.
Thank you for the advice....
My viewpoint is that your DD must like the school in the 1st place. No point appealing for a school in the east when your DD hates the school. My girl is applying for a school in the east as her 1st choice and I am resigned to the fact that I will be sending her every day to her school from Sengkang (where we stay). That is quite far.Mike_Lee:
Hi Parents, I need some advice.
Initially, we were planning to shift to my parent's house. My girl had submitted her 6 choice sec school near the Central. Due to some problem, we had decided to remain in the East.
Is it advisable for her school to remain in the Central or appeal for a school at the East (none of her choices are in the East and is there any chance of appealing?)
Thanks in advance. -
