Coming to Singapore in 2012, 3 teenage kids, very interested ing etting them into good schools. Will be asking questions on this forum later

Hi there , I just joined here last week because i anticipate spending a lot of time in Singapore in the future and I may have something to contribute to this forum.I have helped raise 4 children who are now all adults 28 - 20 and I have spent the last 26 years in education. I am happy to share anything I know which might help. My specialties I guess are helping children overcome the difficulties they have with learning, with studying and with (especially teenagers) life in general.

What are his study techniques? Has he ever been taught how to study well? One thing I discovered with my own children was that at school they were never taught how to learn properly. Once they were taught some key learning skills their performance improved greatly.

For most school subjects explained in a way that teenagers understand I always recommend that students go to http://www.khanacademy.org/ - over 2000 clips explaining many difficult concepts in a very user friendly way.

And specifically for Chemistry get him to try http://www.rod.beavon.clara.net/chemistry_contents.htm chemistry made simple.
