hmmm…Thanks but still in doubt

Hi Dear all, new joinee here.

I read discussion about writing MT & English compo. My daughter is in A range but lagging in creative writing. Writing 3/4 pages is a very big deal for her. Here you are talking about foolscap paper 3-4 pages ? Isnt it too much.
As of now my DD writes only one side of fullscap ie around 30 lines with 7/8 words per line. This count is around 250. I am worried , how to stretch the story ?

My DD in PSLE this year and trying her best.

Today we got stuck at one maths problem, kindly help me to understand how to solve below problem without guess and check.

Q- A shop sells caramel mufffins at $4.50 each and walnut muffin at $3.90 each. SAm bought both types of muffins for $308.40. He bought 74 muffins all together. How many Caramel and walnut muffins he bought ?
