TT tan:This is very unfortunate. Yes there were 2 HMFD cases in mid and end Dec, which really calls into question the management's protocol. Schools like Pat's Schoolhouse will engage a vendor for school wide disinfecting and send parents the certificate. Their conduct was very professional and the fact that they reached out to parents instead of waiting for parents to check on what the school has in place to deal with the outbreak is highly commendable. My child was enrolled in small wonder serangoon. The experience was horrible. I went in to observe for few days and found many unhygienic practises. The China teachers simply passed the toys from one child to another, letting the infants crawl outside the mat and suck on the floors!! The floor was quite dirty and teachers were walking with slippers. I also saw some teachers very rough in handling the children. Crawlers and walkers who do not want to eat on high chairs be scolded and threatened. The teachers be shoving porridge in the mouths of lined up kids like factory one after another. I saw kids perpetually crying. Those who cannot walk or crawl were most poor thing. I saw one baby girl just placed on a pillow lying there staring at ceiling for hours. After I came back from lunch the baby was still lying there staring at ceiling alone. When I saw the father at pick up time i wanted to tell the dad if he knows his child has been left alone there for hours just sucking on her pacifer. I also saw babies sleeping all alone in the cots in the room by themselves with no teacher supervision which is totally dangerous. I asked the teacher why no supervision. She said we can hear from outside if baby wakes up. What rubbish!!! When so many babies were crying and brawling outside. Probably If baby died inside no one will know. By the way the centre has just been issued by moh for mass hfmd. Put your child there at your own risk !!Appleworm:I STRONGLY do not recommend u to play ur kiddos in this childcare.
The principal is really not the hands on type who does not work with the parents to deliver the best for their child.please do not leave them in their care. In my opinion they are not patient & definitely unprofessional educators in terms of managing the kids.
Crap school really. .
In general, yes I agree that the centre lacks service, as well as commitment. When you raise issues with them, they get very defensive and can give you extremely \"far-out\" justifications as to why it cannot be done or why it wasn't done. They just keep telling you that in Learning Vision they do it this way or that way and use that precedence as the basis for their argument, even if they are archaic, flawed or outdated.
