1. Inform PA that you would like to volunteer and someone will then reach out to you as to which NC or RC you can join based on your address.

2. They will then let you know whether there are vacancies and if there are, you will join as an observer first. If there aren’t any vacancies, you will put on wait list.
3. You first join as observer and will be confirmed as an executive member thereafter. Your volunteer time starts from the date you become an executive member and not observer. Which means, the time when you apply for schools, you need to have served as an executive member for at least 2 years. Many people miss the cut off time because they apply too late. They assume there is always vacancy to join and that the clock starts when they join. Ideally, if you want to go through the community leader route, one should start the process 3 years before the child P1 registration.
4. For phase 2B, you can apply to any schools within the GRC but the distance rule still apply if the school is over subscribed.
