I have 2 girls, one is P4 and another one graduated in 2017 now in Y3 in RGS. Over the years, RGPS has changed - I would say a more holistic approach with \"lesser\" homework, \"not as much emphasis\" on result. I observed that the teaching is moving towards more higher order thinking , in line with MOE evolving syllabus - less is more - and not so much of \"drilling\" as the olden times. Though most girls aspire to perform well in both academic and other areas, I don't feel that they are very \"competitive\". The learning environment is positive and caring. This is my personal experience for the last 9 years in RGPS.

This thread seems very inactive but here's hoping for some answers.
I'm considering to apply my child into the school for next year P1. Any parent here can kindly share information on the school hours, school culture etc? She has a happy-go-lucky attitude, will there be lots of homework even in the pri 1 and 2. Thank you
I'm planning to do the same too. Though I'm really curious about the culture and the profile of students.
In the case of the latter, I'm just wondering if she will be able to \"fit in\".
My daughter, from what I can see now, is also pretty blase about learning and \"homework\".
