My DS just managed to touch 80 rank points for A level. A/B/B/B
He is planning to join computer engineering at NUS or NTU.Can someone please share your opinion on this?
Can he it? And why first choice is always important?
Be wary that this does not guarantee you admission into NTU/NUS, 'managed to touch' is just the cut off point. For example, the cut-off point for medicine is 85, if the entire Singapore lets say average get 87.75, only 280 places in Med available, do you think you would even stand a chance?
There was one year, 2017, which a student miraculously got into Medicine by 85 rank points, that was a such rare occurrence that I would even call it a 'miracle' as others would had been scoring above 85.
For your case 80 is the cutoff. I wish you the best as not to burst your bubble, but you have to write a very convincing what I mean VERY convincing proposal. Lets say interview stage is given to all. You would have to get merely full marks. This would let you to become a 87.75 rank point student who has did badly for his interview stage.
I wish you the best of luck. May you strike miracle.[/quote]Hello I also forgot about the bonus points. However, that would only be implemented with your portfolio after your first try of admission which means that you got rejected the first try. The second one is going to be very tough for the 'people' to get convinced.
