Hhmmm…that’s strange. I recalled during the briefing where the school reps kept going on and on about the IT programme and the ‘results’. While they emphasised the tablet is not compulsory, not once they mention anything about loan ???

Hi. My child will be P3 in 2016. Attended the school briefing recently regarding the usage of tablet. From the feedback highlighted, seemed to have quite a number of parents hesitant with the usage of tablet.


I am undecided if I should get one. On one hand, don’t want him to feel left out during lessons, on the other hand, worried about handling issue as he constantly misplaces his things.

Also hope to get feedback from parents here what brand/model will you be getting for your child.

Empire Food’s website says they don’t use msg.

so far I have tried neo garden. Overall I find that they are quite good, delivery timing, variety of food, vege not overcooked, no taste of pesticide/chemical for vege. If only it can be a little bit less salty and no msg, it would be the most ideal caterer for me.

So far only 3 household replied, let’s see how many more will respond. To me, if there is sufficient demand for this, we got nothing to lose to try to work out something with the caterers.

I am thinking of using tingkat service for the next couple of years or so. As such, I am trying to look for vendor that can commit to no msg due to long term health concern. I can compromise on all other aspects such as delivery timing, variety, taste, etc, so long as no msg.

I was wondering if there are like minded parents here who share the same desire for no msg, and if the demand/volume is there, maybe we can approach a particular vendor to negotiate for them to agree to this arrangement?

I suppose the vendor can still add msg to the remaining food they are cooking after removing the portion for those that requests no msg? So this is not really an impossible task from the vendor’s point of view, provided there is sufficient demand for it?

I went to Nascans.com to check out their webpage. The website didn’t looked very well established, with some remarks that it is still under upgrading, though the credentials and their programmes were well published.

I am looking for a student care arrangement for my child. From the thread discussions, quite a few parents with kids at Polaris. Could you share your experience (good and not so good) about Polaris? Please pm me if not comfortable to post in the main thread.

With many schools gradually shifting to single session, more and more student care centres are finding it tough to continue sustaining their operation since they will lose the students who used to be in afternoon school session but due to their centre’s space limitation, cannot admit more for the morning school session group.

Student care centre setup by the school should be more "stable" on this aspect.

Next year will be full single session for all levels. I suppose the school will be trying to do some dry runs to see how they can cope?

You will be redirected to etutoronline.net.....At the bottom right, you should be able to see \"eChinese Magazine Assignment\". Those should be the assignment required. Click on \"more\" to have all the assignments listed.
