I feel her preferred friends also will change during the time she goes to university or poly. She is likely to suffer for Choosing a subject just because of friends.

Can any one of you give details of how the year 3 selection is done? Tests? Interview? Practical tests?

      TIA
Hi Parents

Good afternoon! Just a quick check with other parents who had also registered their kids for P1 online...

      1) Do you receive a confirmation email after registration? For me, I did not. The only message i receive is at the end screen of the online registration page saying \"Your registration has been submitted\" (text in green). Is that all?

      2) I did not encounter any prompt to upload any scanned documents (such as NRIC, birth certs etc) during the online registration process. Is that the same thing with those who registered online too? I heard one must present all these documents when registering in person at the school itself.

Pls let me know if I have missed anything. Thank you very much and have a good day ahead!

      1) Yes, only a confirmation screen, and no email received.

      2) Only need to submit/present original documents at the school after receiving confirmation SMS/letter of successful/unsuccessful enrolment at the end of the phase (2C/2CS). Further details will be provided by the school in the confirmation SMS/letter.

revils_ling, thank you very much for the kind info. Appreciate it.
Same here. (1) only green confirmation in the screen & (2) No need to upload documents

For MBS waitlist, I will suggest to not get your hopes up too high. Reason being that there will be 16 SCs (+3 additional PRs) that will miss out in Phase 2B. A huge majority of these will be fellow Buddhists who had been recommended by a committee member of SBF. Some venerables are also concurrently on both MBS and SBF committees (Venerable Seck Kwang Phing for one is both MBS chairman and SBF President). These parents should also be wanting to be put on the waitlist. Due to the discretionary nature of the waitlist queue, it becomes what I personally believe to be a \"Who you know\" and not luck issue. Providing the places to these parents whom are fellow buddhists is also considered good karma for these parents too, given that they have been proactive and done their part in spreading the dharma and their kids will also be able to enjoy some Buddhism teachings while there and continue to spread the faith when they grow up.

      Good Luck and amitabha.
With this much demand in the Dragon year, is there any hope for waitlists? Under what circumstances the vacancies arise and give opportunity to those in the wait-list. This year, the chances some one not taking up is very very low, correct? Also who are qualified for waitlist?
      thanks in advance

      Lexy:
This is indeed a super good job. Considering this year being the admission of Dragon babies, I am thinking the number of GRC applications will go up by 25% (I am thinking about schools that restrict PVs and not attached to any church or so), then the phase 2B applications may go up by 10% if the number of PVs remain same. Given this, for example a school like Rulang also is a touch and go (the number of PVCs are controlled at 16 or 18), with only a buffer strenth of 4. What is your opinion?

Traditionally 2b applicants was around 25-27 so it’s a close call. Sometimes you need some “help” from those folks from the earlier phases to withdraw which this year is tougher since it is more competitive. So in the end it’s distance priority will determine the fate of the people here. If one is under 2B of Rulang and more than 2km, it will be tough.

Since we are on the rulang subject, the likely odds for rulang could be around 2.5 to 1 vacancy this year for 2C.

      Hi Lexy:
Thanks. I did PV at Rulang. ( sure the No of GRC applicants will increase owing to Dragon year, Not sure whether GRC registrants/year also is restricted). Where do you get this statistics? Else, can you provide me the No of applicants from 2013 to 2017 at Rulang in Phase 2B? Thanks in advance.
