      phtthp:

SCGS many vacancies left, unlikely to ballot this year
This is an easy year to enter SCGS in phase 2b, also a rare scenario

Past few years fought like tooth & nail, until one mommy said she will \"shake up heaven & earth\" if fail to ballot in, less than 1 km from SCGS
Yes, indeed an easy year for phase 2b and from the moment seems like more seats will be carried forward to 2C as compared to previous years. I wonder why though? Possibly the mrt construction right in front of the school?

Anyone else enrolled for scgps here? I've yet to received my phase 2a2 confirmation. So wondering if mine got lost in mail or something. 🤷

No need to get your own lock. The school jacket is quite thick imo, you might want to take that into consideration. Also trolleybags are not allow too. Yes they are allow all white sports shoes. They are also require to bring their own colour pencils and will be given a thick organiser to write the teachers' daily instructions. You can also try to go to the tailor directly to get the uniforms in advance.
      Hi Minami,

Noted on no trolley bags. For sports shoes Velcro kind is ok right? The tailor's address is the one found on the school's website? Thanks!

      AdGirl:
I just registered my daughter this morning at abt 10am, on Day 1 of phase 2A2. There's 102 vacancies for this phase, but my registration number given by the admin staff was 15X. I'm starting to panic now - ballot in 2A2 for RGPS has never happened before!

I went through what you felt this morning too. There are 69 vacancies left and my number stated was 9x. For 1 sec there, I also thought I would need to go through the balloting frenzy. What happened to SNGS this year is really causing parents from the 2A phase to be more stressed that previous years.

Thank you for the replies. I’m glad to hear that they get a locker. Do i need to get a lock for that? I heard some schools require u to get your own locks. I’d just get an S size bag then. My gal is very petite in size. Even an S size is already like half her size. =/ are the girls allowed to wear all white sports shoes? Any special requirements for shoes? I would like to slowly get all the stuff she needs during free pockets of time during weekends, instead of last min. Would appreciate any advise fr fellow scgs mummies.

      When is orientation anyways? Thanks!

      Hi,

Any kind mummy can share with me what’s the size of the largest book in P1? Will I need to get an S or M size backpack? Also, do they have lockers for books in school? Thanks!

If it comes down to phase 2c, and balloting is required. How does that work? I read from the moe site that SC is granted absolute priority before home school distance. Does that mean that all SC will get in first, then the balance ballots for remaining places in that phase?

In the event that number of applicants exceeds vacancies available, SCs staying within 1 km of the school will have priority over SCs staying further from the school. Only after all SCs are given places will PRs be considered. However, if the number of vacancies are not sufficient to meet the demands of SCs staying within 1 km of the school, this group of applicants will have to go through balloting.

Thanks, its a much clearer picture after your explanation. So this applies to any phase.

      Hi...

Reporting here too. :celebrate: Got a question. What happens if application at phase 2a2 fail? Can we continue to apply for the next phase in the same school?
