Hi KTP. There is always a chance. If she is holding a leadership role it would be an added advantage. Just go ahead and submit her result slips and certificates. By the way, she can apply for more than 1 domain.
Any parent can advise if it is tough to get in through UG and any idea how many got CO for UG last year.
Shortlisted students will have to attend an interview, will it be in group or individual?
Thanks! -

I agree with harrychew when i saw that i also try to refrain from replying.. :rahrah:
:goodpost:
I have refrained from commenting on your posts, but can't help myself this time. You are easily the most controversial folk in this thread with \"extremist\" views that are inaccurate and highly inflammatory, to say the least.Harrychew:
In my child’s class, there are a handful of students who get 3 A* without tuition. Having said that, for children who have tuition, the expectation is no less than 90 mark. Otherwise, why waste the time and effort investing in tuition?!
If your children is currently in P5, you need to review if the tutors are delivering the results as they claimed or advertised. Otherwise, time to have them replaced without further delay because it is 1 year to PSLE!
This was what I did for my elder one. We changed more than 12 tutors/ tuition centers!! You need to check the markings of tutors too. You will be alarmed many are not up to expectations and only know how to self-advertised and made empty promises. My wife did all the checking and questioned the tutors for ambiguous marking or suggested answers! KNN! All are marketing people and in the end, wife took 6 months sabbatical leaves to self-teach all subjects, except Chinese. For Chinese, the China tutor did a great job so we had no issue with her.
For home tutors, always interview then first before engaging them. Ask them to show proof of their claims that they have delivered whatever great results. If you are working, best is install CCTV so that you can monitor how and what they are teaching.
For high ability students (those who are consistently in the 90s) from P1 to P4, if you are good and have solid foundation, you WILL NOT experience drop in marks in P5. Only those with weak foundation will experience the dip. This is where you know the whatever great tuition classes are not delivering the desired results.
Please note Tutors will tell you your kids school paper is tougher than other schools. I heard this hundred times at least but please, there are others who are still doing very well despite school paper is “very tough” so don’t be fool by such feedback or comment. Another frequently use execuses is your child is too careless. Actually he/she can do better! Wa Lao, what the hell is this answer. A child who is not careless is not a child.
If you get the right tutor or tuition for them, there is no issue for them to score 90+ marks.
Above is applicable for high ability kids only!
Getting the right tutor is as difficult as getting a right domestic helper! You need to put in effort!
I was wondering what motivates you to post such nonsense. With your latest post, it struck me that you are probably out to scare unwitting parents into PM you to ask for your recommended \"secret sauce\" tutors

Good try. Keep us updated on your catch, yah? -
RE: DSA 2018
Very weak below 90s... :salute:
I think this is too extreme judgment

IMO, not only extreme but unfair judgement. Even in top class, not all scored above 90%! So the rest of the students (Maybe 85% of the students) are extremely horrible?? That is one of the reasons why our poor DC now are so stressful and feel they are never good enough for their parents.
Just my personal view -
RE: DSA 2018
During DHS open house, when asked about specific academic talent, was told that by just having very good result in that specific subject was not good enough, must have reward. But really no harm to try if DC is interested in the school. Never try never know.
