RE: GEP 2018 - Screening and Selection Test
falcon1101:
Hi parents, may I find out if Gep HCL any different from mainstream HCL? We are staying at the west. Considering NYPS, RGPS, HPPS, any reviews on these schools would be much appreciated. Thank you!
All MT ( CL,HCL,Tamil or Malay ) classes will have GEP and mainstream mixing together. This is the only subject that GEP students will interact and make friends with mainstream. As for GEP school in the west, I can't review much. My DS is studying in a GEP in the east side. I only know NYPS and RGS is the most popular selections. So if due to unfortunate circumstances that the school vacancy is full you will be posted to your 2nd choice or 3rd choice. -
RE: St Hilda's Primary
Usually all GEP class in all 9 centre are small in numbers of students. My DS class consist of 25 students, 20 boys and 5 girls.

Hi, I am thinking of sending my DS to St Hilda’s GEP programme. Would appreciate if any parents can share their child’s experience in this programme at St Hilda’s. Thanks!
Congrats on your DS acceptance into the GEP. My DS is P5 GEP this year. The teachers are very caring and have strict discipline to instill good character building. There will be a briefing at NUSH which all GEP primary schools will have a booth that will answer all your questions. Initially we thought of going to Tao Nan, after going through the briefing, my DS switched to SHPS. We never regretted it as we felt the school was less of a\" pressure cooker\" environment. The school have a very strong Parent Support Group. My DS and I have joined many activities organized by the Father's Support Group. Hope your DS will join the SHPS family. -
RE: GEP 2017 - Screening & Selection
Just English and Mathematics test. English is just to test your strong vocabulary. If your child is an avid reader, he/she will probably ace it. Mathematics is a bit tricky. But if the child loves maths ,it should not be a prolem too. My child passed both rounds without any coaching or tutions. I didn’t expect him to get into GEP at all. So just let your child have a try.

Just received the mail from St.Hilda school. All the relevant info like class and house color. There will be a parents briefing too on the first day of school.
Hope to see all the new St.Hildan parents. -

RE: GEP 2016 - Screening & Selection
Not sure about schools. But my son told me in Opera Estate PS 12 went 6 got into GEP. He got in too and he is very eager to join it. He is also made up his mind on joining Tao Nan only. But all this just give me a headache, I will have to find him a new Student Care.
