RE: Dunman High School (Junior High)
The new school year will be starting soon. I am an alumnus and will be more than happy to assist my juniors who are thinking ahead for their university plans. Remember, it will usually be too late to wait until you get your A level results. There are too many straight A students every year, and competition to get the popular courses or scholarships is stiff.
My background/profile is given in the thread below.

RE: 2014-15 H3s
Typically those who take H3s are really interested in the subject and want to stretch themselves further, rather than just to mug and add more distinctions to their transcript.
Getting a distinction for H3 is a plus, not having it won’t hurt your chances if you do very well for your H2s. -
RE: 2014-15 H3s
H3s are typically offered to the strong students (i.e. those who are doing well in their H2s), and to help them in scholarship applications. That said, I feel it’s better for the students to ensure that they ace their H2s and H1 than spread their resources too thin to cover too many subjects.
The H3s offered by NUS and NTU are selected modules held in the two campuses which the students have to take for one semester, and then take the midterms/assignments/final exam for the grade. Some H3s are research-based (e.g. those offered by A*star), where the students have to complete a research project within a stipulated time frame. H3s offered by MOE-Cambridge will be tested along with the other A level H2 and H1 subjects in November.
Students typically apply in the second half of their first year in JC to do the H3s in JC2. Some schools I believe will only allow invited students to take them. -
RE: 2014-15 H3s
This is like asking people if they prefer red or green color. It all depends on what the student likes/strong in and what major he/she intends to take up in the university.

RE: 2015 A Level Results
All the tuition fees for the local AUs (autonomous universities) can be found on their respective websites. What is it so hard to understand about when it comes to finances? The only tricky part (for finances) is to google and hunt for all the available scholarships/bursaries that she is eligible to apply for.
