can you PM me. My DS is P5 this year
I am starting a P5 home-based class (max of 3 students) at my residence in Punggol on Saturdays. PM me if you are interested.Grr_roxy:
Hi Essential,
My DD in P5 is having home based group tuition in the East. Teacher is good. Niece and nephew are also with her. But not sure if she is taking new students as her classes are quite full. PM me if you are interested. -
RE: National Junior College (Junior High)

Hi Parents, ever since the start of sch, i notice my dd spending more time on her phone, groupchat with frens than on her schoolworks. Each day, she can easily get 1000+ msgs. I'm sure not all are impt msg. I find it disruptive n taking too much of her time. It is not possible for me to restrict her cos i know sometimes the teachers communicate homeworks, change of classes, other info via watsapp. In fact i m quite surprise that njc isn't strict with hp usage in sch. In my dd's instagram, i always see selfie photos of students in the class or other sch area. i dislike the idea of using phone in school cos it is a distraction. Last wk, her math quiz came back with 7/20 result. Not sure if it is due to excessive use of hp. What should i do? Shld i reflect my concern to the sch?
I do share the same concern, they are always on the phone. -

Hi mummies & daddies
My girl is currently P4 at SMPS and we are contemplating moving to Punggol next year. My main concern would be the travel time to/fro school. Would appreciate if anyone can enlighten us on the following:
1. School bus - What is the pick up/drop off time and how much?
2. By Car - Is the morning traffic from Punggol to town really that bad as what many are telling me? Which is best route to take and what is the estimated travelling time to reach sch?
3. By MRT - I heard early morning trains are really packed as well at Punggol station. Is that true?
Looking forward to your replies.
Thank you in advance.
I'll try to answer as I live in Punggol
1. If traveling by school bus the best is to start at the beginning of the year, as they need to plan the route
. It's difficult to change their route mid year as it will affect other children pick up time.
My girl took school bus when she was in P1 , the transport company makes it a point to sent the P1 kids first.
E.g. If there's a p1 and p4 girls staying in Punggol they will alight the p1 girl first. My girl used to reached home by 210pm. The school bus normally move off from SMPS around 145pm
2. I drive my kid to school now. It takes 20mins to reach using KPE. The lastest I leave home @645am
3. MRT ???? Not too sure, never tried @ that timing b4
Hope information helps -
